The majority of music I'll be posting is older rock, classic rock. I'm not to hip for what passes as music today. I sound like my mother. She didn't care for the music I liked. Rock and Roll. :rw)

The only time I like music like that is when I used to go down to Riverfront park for the royal fireworks concert. Haven't been down there to see it in almost 20yrs. Nobody to go with and I won't go alone. I miss seeing it.

Many years ago (early to mid 90's), Patsy Cline's music made a resurgence. Was down at the bar and played this song. I went rounds with some Lesbian about Patsy being dead. She didn't believe me. Yes, I told her. The plane she was in went splat on a mountainside. She still didn't believe it. I told her to watch Coal Miner's Daughter.

Call me sentimental; call me a softie; but I've loved loved this song since it came out in 1973. It wasn't a statement about war, hatred, poverty, or any of the other ills of that time. It was a simple love ballad.

When I was a teenager, my brother went into the Navy. When he got out, he left a shitload of stuff in mom's basement. I ran across this self titled album. OMG, it was so coated with dirt that you couldn't even see the grooves. I took it upstairs and carefully cleaned the muck off. I thought that when I played it, that it would be nothing but scratches. Turned out, it sounded wonderful. Didn't have a sleeve or jacket for it. I found them somewhere else. And have had it since that day.

Well Izzy...this is pretty weird. It was running through my head all morning so I opened up Youtube copied the address and then came over to post it here and what do I find? So I figgered...why not. It's the studio version, impeccably recorded and powerfully executed so...crank it up...

And what the hell...as long as we're in the twilight zone and you already got it cranked up...

Yeah right. Were I to crank it up now, my neighbor would probably be pounding on the wall with a shoe and screaming obscenities. They definitely wouldn't be a happy camper. :rw)

Perhaps the most moving and emotional guitar break in the history of recorded electric music at 3:35.

I once had a woman friend...

www.youtube.com Video from : www.youtube.com

...she told me that just before she turned 18 she was finally able to say no to her father, and he died of a stroke a few weeks later. She figured she killed him. He was afraid she'd rat him out, he started drinking heavily and his high blood pressure got him.

He was sticking his member there? EEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWW.

To bad the asshole died. He could've stood in front of the judge flapping his gums. Pisses the the judge off. Response of the judge? "Bailiff, whack his pee pee." But to whack, use a 16lb sludge hammer.
