Come on people, let's get a music thread going. I asked plunderer about bandwidth, the vids you post don't eat the bandwidth of the board. Also, don't just post the video, say something about it. My first (and only) album from them is News Of The World.

Love this song. IMHO, it's the best song that Queen ever did.

Anyway the wind blows

I was going to make a joke about Fat Bottom Girls being the best, but I'm holding back, LOL. But I do like that song...

This one rivals Ziggy Stardust (IMHO):

And it may well be the last one we see from Bowie. I was lucky to see him when he toured for the Reality album. It was the best Birthday present my wife ever got me; it was likely the last time I'd ever get a chance to se him perform live. Tickets were pricey, but it was worth it. And Macy Gray opened for him (I like her too).

If you want alternative/punk, there's this band. The heavyset guy with dark hair with the blond streak in it, with beard and playing guitar, is my friend's grandson. He's no longer in the band, he and his wife moved from Vegas to Coos Bay, Oregon.

When I was in college (Havre, MT), this hit it big. Only 1 station (AM) that played rock. To far from Great Falls to get stations from there. The station was KOJM (610, your winning combination). I'm not kidding, they played this song to death. At least 20 times a day. It took years before I could listen to it again.

I was a DJ on the college radio station, all 10 watts of broadcasting power. I actually had people call and request it! I told them that I didn't own anything by Juice Newton and never would. Then told them if they wanted to hear it so bad, flip to AM and listen to KOJM. They were not amused.

You don't want to know what I played in the middle of the night as a DJ! I actually had the head monk call and chastise me on air (I went to a Catholic college). It was 2 AM on a Saturday and I didn't think anyone was actually listening...

A local radio station is really pissing me off. They play the Guns & Roses version of this song. I have yet to hear them play the original version. The original version is by Paul McCartney and Wings. The Guns and Roses version sucks big time.

White Zombie. There were only three words and they were only profanities.

It was a radio demo disc, and only God knows why they even made it. Or why I thought it was a good idea to play to Poughkeepsie at two in the morning. I'm guessing malt liquor had a hand in both decisions...

Hard to find a lyric like "Fat and bulbous, tapered too ..."

Grateful Dead

New Riders of the Purple Sage

The Legend of Cow Patty

34yrs later and I still remember.

www.youtube.com Video from : www.youtube.com

My friend/roommate and I were headed from Havre to Missoula. He'd just bought a cassette deck and Blue Oyster Cult's Some Enchanted Evening. The deck ate the tape right in the middle of this song. I mean it ATE the tape. What a mess. Man was he pissed. A couple miles down the road I was able to put another tape in. That's how long it took to pull tape out of the deck. :rw)

Three of the original members of Blue Oyster Cult will be here, in this dreary Northern NY city, this coming weekend to play the MOOD Music Festival. (Music On [the] Oswegatchie Delta). Ogdensburg comes alive in July and the MOOD festival is a relatively late arrival. Since I literally live on the shores of the Oswegatchie-St.Lawrence convergence, and the festival is being held just across the foot bridge, I plan to attend.
Can't believe it myself! Woohoo!

"Ship To Wreck" is just so solid.

Oh that's a killer track...I'm trying to learn the bass part!

Do you ever suffer from an earworm? I hate when that happens. Usually the ONLY way I get rid of it is to play this in my mind or actually listen to this song. This song I can start/stop in my mind at will.

1977, how risqué. :D

When my mom saw the cover, she said that "it looks like his nuts are hanging out".

What kind of music do I currently listen to? I'll listen to bits of everything, except metal or whatever's on the Top 40.
