Right now I need this one. A 350 watt Yamaha receiver, and a pair of Klipsch Khorns, wired with Monster wire (speakers) and crank it. Pump it up. Push it up to about 100 watts, house party.

I picked up one just like this the year before last at the Goodwill...for 7 bucks. I couldn't believe it...a CA-2010 integrated amp, mint...sitting right there on the shelf. It's my favorite piece of vintage electronics...I'll never let it go.

Image

BTW - when you get your corner horns, they're so efficient, you don't need more than about 25 watts to drive them as loud as they'll go and leave you bleeding from the ears.

When I was in collage (early 80's), I had what was then considered a 'vintage' (late 60's) 10watt Kenwood amp. The speakers I had at the time, weren't to bad. They were rated at 100watts.

Don't remember the numbers, but that amp was clean.

I could vibrate the cinder block walls, and I only had the volume partly up, probably 4 watts. I got everyone's attention on the floor. :rw)

A friend of my cousin's collects amps. Last time I was down he showed and lectured us on his collection. I said to my cousin afterwards "Now that was an education."

Back in the summer of '93, my ex and I drove down to San Bruno. Just as we were crossing the Bay bridge. This song played on the radio. Someone must've known we were coming and rolled out the welcome mat.

Well, this is a bit convoluted.

In the third season singer Louden Wainwright III played Doctor Spalding (the singing doctor).

Louden Wainwright III was the father of Rufus Wainwright. Here is Rufus being fabulous:

This song is my ringtone for people on my contact list.

From the movie, it was when she (Kellerman) and Frank (Duvall) were getting it on and of course a mic was put the tent, essentially "bugging" it for the whole camp to hear. Something along the lines of "my hot lips" was uttered in the throws of passion.

xoxoxo

Not familiar with Rufus. When I think of his dad, this is the song that comes to mind.
