Started watching Dark Matters, about 6 episodes in.

What do you think so far?

I finished Season one. Overall, I like the series. It is derivative, but they are developing their own stories very well.

I do like the ethical/moral discussions about guilt, attachment, feelings. The play of the roles of memories into the permanence of reality.

Started "The Expanse" last night. I obliviously watch too much TV.

Were you surprised at who turned out to be the mole? I was. Although it did cross my mind, I'd think, Nah.

I finished "The Following." I gotta say, it turned out to be my favorite season of the series.

I have 3 episodes left of season 2 "Daredevil." I'm loving this series! I'm going to finish watching on this snowy afternoon.

Episode 10 has a great scene between Murdock and Fisk. I won't give any spoilers but WOW!

Still watching Jessica Jones and Daredevil here.

I binged on a few seasons of Downton Abbey. Also that show the Paradise and Mr. Selfridge. Brooklyn 911 seasons 1-2. Started watching Cuckoo which is mildly entertaining.

I don't have a clue when Season 5 of Homeland will show up...so I just went to the library and picked up Season 1 of Game of Thrones. What have I gotten myself into?

GoT is a wild ride! But some great writing, great cinematography, great acting, great costumes. It's good.

On Netflix proper I'm excited for the upcoming season 2 of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

Been watching Colony at Hemlock's suggestion. I like it! I wonder what ZoWie would think of it. One of the things I enjoy the most is that it actually looks, demographically, something like LA would look.

Thanks for the mention. Last show of season 1 just ran.

Try DIG, if you haven’t seen it.
About an archeological dig in Israel & some End of Days cult activity. Ann Heche plays a CIA field office chief.

The first season ought to be re-running before the new season starts. DIG
Dig is still fresh with many places to go vs The Following."
(Could surprise me, but the Following is settling into a comfort zone & personality thing).

Anybody know if Pilot is going to make any more FORTITUDE
Isolated island (real island between Norway & North Pole) & an attempt at tourism. Then something is unearthed in the glacier... quirky like Fargo, which has accents too!
Better than watching season ten of golddiggers in Alaska.

I read the synopsis of this. I sounds like my cup of tea. I hope it comes to Netflix.

Well, since it's in the news lately, Portlandia:
www.youtube.com Video from : www.youtube.com

www.youtube.com Video from : www.youtube.com

The first song was supposed to be for the second episode, but they liked it so much they decided to use it as their very first segment as sort of an intro to the entire series.

My cousin sent me the first 2 seasons DVDs after she moved to Portland.

Hell on Wheels, anyone?
Didn’t expect to like it. Was worth a binge watch.

Now there’s too much to sit & watch. My arteries are starting to crackle.
No, that was the cheetos & chips.

Two of current interest wrapping up.

Versailles: Louis XIV, decent historical pageantry, many scenes set in the grounds of the place (which if you have never been there, are spectacular). It may be deemed too sexually explicit for American TV. Controversial as it is a Canal+ production but is presented in English as the French producers want an international audience. French critics are outraged, of course.

Billions: Alpha dog take down battle between ambitious and flawed NY Federal Attorney and brilliant and flawed up from the street multizillionaire. Great acting and production values.

Love hell on wheels. I always refer to it as the red headed step child of AMC, because all the hype was for Breaking Bad, Mad Men, and Walking Dead.

I just watched Documentary Now, which is a series of shorts by Fred Armisen (speaking of Portlandia) in which they parody/pay homage to famous doc films (Grey Gardens, Nanook of the North, etc). Pretty funny.

Who knew they could still make an entertaining western.

I find it astounding that there are so many pretty well written programs these days.
The griping used to be that there wasn’t much of anything well written - everything was in the same rut & it was blamed on lack of decent writers.
Obviously it wasn’t the writers.

Of course they’re copying each other. Everybody’s got to have a King of Thrones analog, a science fiction about alien invasions, the neighborhood zombies, etc.
Which means they will burn out quickly.
