I've been binge watching the second season of Dark Matter. I finished ep, 12 last night. One more to go.

I'm loving this. It's my second fav Sci-Fi series after Star Trek TNG. DS9 is a close third.

I'm binge watching Z Nation on the Syfy channel. I've watched the previous seasons but missed a couple of this season's episodes and I tried watching them on the Syfy website but they want too much personal information to login. I've watched some of the The Walking Dead but never really got into it. [i[Z Nation[/i] has the drama of The Walking Dead but more humor and entertainment which makes it more fun to watch.

I like Dark Matter.

There was another series they started airing at the same time as Dark Matter, Killjoys. Unlike Dark Matter I came to loathe Killjoys. Bad acting, bad sets, SO many bad clichés.

I had to look it up. Sounds like the kind of show you don't want to take seriously.

Now I'm watching Revolution. I'm half way through season 1. It's about the breakdown of society and order after the big blackout, or when everything electronic just stops working. There are militarized factions with guns whose original intent was to keep law and order. But of course as you can guess, they've become like the pre-electricity brown shirts. And there's the rebels led by the former militia organizer who is also a brother to a man who had knowledge of the blackout before it happened.

Good stuff. I like dystopian themes, especially now that we're about to live in one ourselves.

Bummed! Revolution ran for 2 seasons on NBC. I should have known not to get involved. I followed 3 other shows on the network that just ended when the story line was changing direction or ended in a cliff hanger.

I guess I'm going to have to make up the script in my head to how it all ends.

It was an interesting theme...but the show got much too violent for my liking.

Been watching the 4400. I'm halfway through season two, if it doesn't pick up some steam I doubt I will be watching season three. I haven seen Dark Matter, Archer, or DS9. That might be where I go from here.

Excellent. I've been a union apprenticeship instructor, a field supervisor, but I never got to be a shop steward. In my union those leadership roles include an addition to the pay folder as well as being personally satisfying.

In addition to your new leadership role, I hope I can congratulate you on receiving an increase in pay. :)

I got sucked into the 9 hour OJ documentary on Hulu. Not the dramatization, this was an ESPN production which puts the time in to build context around the Rodney King beating, OJ's place in the black community, and a lot of candid interviews (Fuhrman, Clark, jurors, etc).

Now I wonder about a possible connection to CTE.

Netflix is web advertising the Man In the High Castle today. I've seen the ad popping up along with my news articles all morning.

I've watched it, and it didn't strike me as a show having a plausible plot even if one sets aside the parallel universe bit.

I keep hearing good things about Bloodline on Netflix, but haven't been able to watch it.

Finally got around to the first few episodes of Mr. Robot (Amazon Prime video), which is fantastic.

Longmire

This year will be its 6th and last season. It's set in wyoming. About a Sheriff there. It's kind of like a modern day Gunsmoke.

Frontier just got released on Netflix...starring Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones, Aquaman). It's.....alright. well, I'm only episode two. The first was a bit cliche Laden, but there are interesting characters, so I'm gonna give it a few more episodes.

I ve been watching it this weekend and it is OK. I would prefer that it was a little more true to the period. To many heroines, women in charge for the time frame the story is taking place. That and in one episode the hero used the term "bro" along with the lead heroine wearing slacks make it a little hard to take.

I find that same formula on many Netflix shows. I personally like shows such as Deadwood which stay more accurate as to the living conditions and customs of the day.
