The problem becomes if Trump is convicted what then. At best he would get house arrest at his Florida resort.
Permitting him to leave on campaign trips and to appear in other courts.
If a person looks at it with an open mind it is very perplexing.
Trump gets convicted nothing happens and he becomes a martyr which could help him get reelected
Trump doesn't get indicted or convicted and we hear I told you so witch hunt politically motivated prosecution etc which could help him get reelected.
I truly don't see any upside for the American people no matter the outcome.
Unless as a convicted felon he can't run for federal office
There IS no problem. Rule of Law. The Court will decide upon the sentence.
And, um, I don't know if you know this, but that's what Trump has said all along, he's a VICTIM. It's all a "witch hunt".
Do you believe in the rule of law or not? If he gets away with all this, then there won't ever be anything the President won't get away with.
We aren't royalists, Glenn. The President is NOT a King, and is subject to rule of law like anyone else.
Well, at least to ME. Maybe you conservatives feel differently.
