The skeptic in me says he is doing so because he wants to run for president.

The non skeptic in me says he is making a tough descion that many liberals in California probably won't like.

The common sense in me says both are true.

No matter the case he is doing the right thing no matter the reason.

San Francisco is another American city that liberals have destroyed by having no standards. The governor's actions might help to fix some of what SF liberals have destroyed. Hopefully it isn't to little to late.

Addressing those rural problems would require an examination of “root causes” — a focus that conservatives have always regarded with contempt when we were talking about urban crime. But no one is saying that rural White people just need to be punished more harshly so they finally learn to straighten up.
