There is a river, on one side is Fargo ND, on the other side is Moorhead MN.

The show Fargo's place setting is Moorhead MN. Think about the wet ramifications of pancakes heaped on top of that. 8-)

Enjoy some PDQ BACH at the top of the morning while you are thinking about all of that, brought to by WOOF in Hoople ND. PDQ's Sonata for two Unfriendly Groups of Instruments:

Noah Hawley, who produced Fargo, is also the producer for the show Legion.

The shows do share a kind of quirky sensibility.

Rachel Keller, who had been on Fargo, now plays Sydney Barrett, the female lead, in Legion.

I get a kick out of the "true story" stuff :rw)

Bushwa and I went to a SAG event once with the director and some cast of

Silver Linings Playbook (2012)

while we were talking to some show folk I had mentioned the "true story" nature of Fargo, at which time bushwa kind of "shushed" me and later explained that of course neither the movie or tv shows are true stories and only common boobs like me would think otherwise and please dont embarrass him in front of these folks.

But I can already tell this is a good one, and once again the lead role is a furrener, Scottish even, with a pretty good american accent, two of them actually.

I tried and was not engaged. Perhaps because the original film was one of the greatest ever made.

"Was he funny lookin' apart from that?"

Yeah, I loved Fargo the movie. The series was just depressing.

So the bad guy, with the teeth, is trying to make whatshisname think his partner is working with his brother just to fuck him up in the head?

I wish the show would better explain who the bad guy is, mr teeth, at first I assumed he was a front man for some really bad guys, worse than him

Fargo (the movie) was semi-true. Maybe a little more semi than most "true story" movies, but they're all pretty semi. You just can't fit real life into a neat cinematic dramatic arch with a strong charismatic protagonist, well defined stakes, a nice clear conflict, and a clean resolution in the last 20 minutes.

"I guess that's your colleague over there in the wood chipper."
