I can still visualize the scene in "Silence of the Lambs" where a young woman was singing along with American Girl while driving.

thats a tuff one for me since i knew MudcrutchsFarm. we went to the weekend concerts there
with kids and dogs and weed and..people with hair. lots of hair.
toms hair was below his hand on the guitar. you could barely see his face.
stan lynch was still with him then.

they were good days. thanks Tom. your lil farm was fun.

Well my mama loves me
But my daddy don't
I'm tryin' to work it all out
But I probably won't
There's a woman waitin'
At the top of the stairs
It's the wrong thing to do
But I don't care

The day wasn't bad enough.

i have a feeling......he was taken off life support and that was taken as his death.

Crap. Looks like 5778 is going to shit, too.

He was from Gainesville, where I used to live.

Can't tell you how many times in my car I listened to "Running Down a Dream".

And oh yeah, "Zombie Zoo".

P.S. The Postman was no great flick, but I loved the scene where one of the people leading the people after the apocalypse was Tom Petty ... playing Tom Petty.

Huh:

LAPD clarifies it cannot confirm Tom Petty's death

What can be confirmed: it seems he was found unconscious, having suffered cardiac arrest, and brought to the hospital, and put on life support.

Post subject:  Re: R.I.P. Tom Petty

ive been scrolling thru images looking for a pic of Tom when his hair was down to his elbows.
they seemed scrubbed or non-existent on the net.
his whole head was that long, no bangs, just all that long long hair that waved around
while he played. LOL.
it was like he really wasnt about his face. he was his songs. he hid behind his hair.

this is 1974 in malibu where his hair, on the left, looks pretty thin.
from this forward most pic show him about shoulder length.

And then taken off of life support some time later.

Not a good sign to be on life support in the first place, and probably even worse of a sign when they take someone off of it so soon after an event like this one.

First Prince and now Tom. Don't these guys ever visit with doctors and get scripts for heart medicine? I mean, docs are giving it out like candy these days, and it really does make a difference (as I can readily attest to).
