and tell them you want any and every possible discount coupon they offer to lower your monthly bill.

I call Direct TV every couple months for this reason. Verizon gives me a discount based on my company but soon I will lose that as I am retiring.

My wifi access is Suddenlink and I am getting robbed, $100 a month for 100/10 and no data limit.

Also, remember ANYTIME you get a Health Insurance EOB and it says you owe money, unless it is the typical copay or deductible, always make sure you really owe that.

In the case of copays and deductibles KNOW what your ACA preventive procedures are and realize you pay NOTHING.

BTW there are companies now that negotiate your discounts with companies for you but they take half.

Thanks! I was going to do the same with direct. We got that at like $50 per month and now it is just over $100 and we don't have any premium channels.

As for EOBs talk about deliberately confusing and opaque. I wonder how much procedures actually cost. We have a system where someone not even involved in the healthcare need and delivery determines what the pricing is. Free market my ass. These people don't want us knowing anything. There is profit in confusion and chaos.

My DTV bill is $207, and I have not paid more than $145 in over 4 years.

Today I asked for any and all discounts or coupons, one is $25 a month for 6 months because I have all premium channels and one is $60 a month for a year if I agree to a one year contract, but the savings is $60 a month and if you cancel early you only pay $10 for each month early so the math on that is a no brainer.

You will be asked if you want to do the autobillpay by letting them charge your card auto, I dont do that, it is only $5 a month.

I should be getting something from Suddenlink because that is too much money for that.

800 531 5000 is DTV, call them now, when it asks what you want say COMPLAIN BILL and it will get you someone. Also, if they say they have no discounts call back and say CANCEL and threaten to do that, I did that today because this time they were not offering me anything when I spoke to the regular person. dont be shy...let me know how it goes ;)
