Source, please.
Manchin is a great American and just saved not only our country from economic ruin but probably saved the democratic party as well.

My favorite line is it would be up for future congresses to decide. So typical of what we've seen so many times.

There was a mark up of a non-existent bill. Glenn of course, being a lying supporter of the Traitor would rather believe the lies he told rather than accept the truth.

Where in your link does it say that it costs $5T?

Please read the article carefully and provide the quote?

Manchin is purposely setting himself up to switch parties. Which hands the Senate back to the GOP.

The problem being for him is that West Virginia RePugs do not want him. But then again neither the West Virginia Dems.

The 5T cost is what it would cost if extended which is likely.

Manchin had stated many times that he will not change parties. If he leaves the democratic party he would become an independent and caucus with the Democrats.
However imo that could change after the midterms if the gop is in the majority.

Record low turnout for Hong Kong "patriots only" election

Pro-Beijing candidates claimed victory in Hong Kong's Legislative Council (LegCo) election under the new "patriots only" system, per Reuters.

Why it matters: This was the first LegCo since Beijing lawmakers passed a sweeping law to ensure only "patriotic" figures can run for positions of power — which U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken called a "denial of democracy."

The 2T bill was not going to cost 5T.

Are you capable of saying ANYTHING factual?

The exact source for this brand of b.s. Glenn. There is no way that would have been the cost. The mark up was for a bill that did not exist, as has been pointed out to YOU before.

Links and Sources. No Google does not count.

His claim is based on what the bill would cost if some of the programs in it were made permanent.

Has there been discussion on doing that in the future? Yes. Has it happened? No. How "likely" it will be to happen is up to variables nobody here knows, including me, but could include what happens to Congress in 2022.

That cost, much like the cost of the original bill, would also not be falling on the budget in one year - it would be over many years. :D

‘An effort to hijack elections in this country’: Republicans are passing laws that could nullify Democrats’ election wins

Nearly a year after a pro-Trump mob tried to prevent a peaceful transfer of presidential power, a new report warns that Republican efforts to use election law to prevent any Democrat from winning the presidency are well underway.
According to an updated report issued Thursday by three pro-democracy and good government watchdog groups — States United Democracy Centre, Protect Democracy, and Law Forward — state legislators in 41 states have introduced bills to allow partisan hijacking and overturning of elections regardless of the will of voters, with 32 such bills having been enacted into law by the governments of 17 states.

Holiday caller to Biden: 'Merry Christmas and let's go Brandon'

A man who called in to the North American Aerospace Defense Command's (NORAD) annual holiday Santa tracking program wished President Biden and first lady Jill Biden a Merry Christmas on Friday before saying “let’s go Brandon,” a slogan that has become popular among supporters of former President Trump as a veiled insult toward Biden.

A father, identified as Jared, called into the NORAD line and had a brief conversation with Biden. He was calling on behalf of his four children, according to CNN.

Judge upholds prior ruling against New York Times on Project Veritas

A judge in New York on Friday upheld his prior ruling barring The New York Times from publishing documents prepared by a lawyer for the right-wing group Project Veritas, which is suing the media organization for libel.

Judge Charles Wood of State Supreme Court in Westchester County sided with Project Veritas in his ruling made public Friday, ordering the publication to turn over any physical copies of the documents in question and delete any digital versions.

GOP optimism grows over possible red wave in 2022

With less than a year to go until the 2022 midterms, Republicans are increasingly bullish on the prospect of a red wave that could flip both chambers of Congress and end Democrats’ unified control in Washington.

Heading into 2022, Democrats find themselves on their back foot, defending their narrow House and Senate majorities – and President Biden – against a fusillade of attacks over stubbornly high coronavirus cases, inflation, the bloody Afghanistan withdrawal and more. Biden’s approval ratings have nosedived to the low 40s, portending a possible drumming at the ballot box next year – and they haven’t stopped falling.

I wonder if a wave of TFG backed primary winners could cool a red wave. I suspect independent voters have soured on TFG since January 6.

Idaho Republican Melts Down Over Year-Old Hershey’s Ad With Black Family - Daily Beast
An Idaho Republican went into a meltdown faster than a chocolate bar over a campfire this week when she threw an online fit over a year-old Hershey’s commercial. NPR’s Boise State Public Radio reports that it’s unclear whether Lisa Leisy, a local official for Idaho Lt. Gov. Janice McGeachin’s gubernatorial campaign, has retained her position after she sent a tweet complaining about a “black only” Hershey’s commercial Monday. The holiday ad launched in late 2020 and features a Black family. Wrote Leisy, “I don’t support the new and improved #Hersheys #christmas black only commercial. Classic #commercial and they ruined it.” The tweet ends with a trio of vomiting emojis, and Leisy followed up with a reply saying she can “no longer watch much current TV cause black only supporting.”
Illiterate, culturally-stunted cons...
