hi all.

just a note that, owing to the kindness of bernie and plunderer, i have been readmitted.

still in central tokyo, nearing retirement in a few weeks, hopefully.

new year's resolution was to kick my CSPan addiction. i have not been successful yet.

i hope all are well and thriving.

Would you mind, answering, why it is you needed to be 'readmitted'?

P.S. I am very much a Foucault fan. But I also pay attention to those who misapply his ideas, and I've found a few.

I could address this in a couple of ways.

As to "need": more like desire, a consequence arising most likely from my CSpan addiction. That is to say, plenty of input, but not much opportunity for output.

As to "readmitted": to be allowed through the portal once again required action on my part to request and your part to lift the gate, that is, the ban. required action is needful by definition.

As for Foucault, he is not on my shelf at present. But i see he is lingering from the old sig. The line reminds me very much of Steve Biko.

New sigs and avatars forthcoming!

I see explicit requests may be required.

Readmittance usually follows expulsion.

Why were you expelled?

I freely understand your own version of how & why this happened may differ from others, but I'm asking you.

Without revisiting old and tiresome history, suffice it to say that personality disputes led to bad blood and unfortunate expressions.

Wow. This is the most coherent post you've ever written! Tritumi must really have motivated you to get a point across this time. I get it. Trit can bring that out in folks.

As I said in the othere thread, welcome back trit. We'll get along fine well enough, until we don't.

My thanks to all who have welcomed me back in this and other threads.

I am changing my style. Yes, that means, capital letters where appropriate.

Discipline!

Greetings & salutations and all that jazz.
Welcome back. Hope it's a lengthier stay this time, despite our almost nil agreement in the past, whether on the old board or this one.
