I just finished the new book Misfire - Inside the Downfall of the NRA.
It's quite a book - very informative and well-written. And, having worked for years inside a non-profit labor organization, the inner workings under the law are very similar to the NRA, it's astonishing what they got away with. If a union did what the NRA did, half the union would be in prison. The government watches unions VERY closely, and I guess they just let the NRA do whatever they wanted.
The NRA is a criminal enterprise ran to enrich those at the top. It's also surprising how corrupt Lapierre was, especially with the vendors. There was also a lot about how the NRA went from being a gun safety organization to nothing but a Trump organization.
A disturbing but informative read.
