Sure, this is a great idea Libertas.

We could call it the More-Pork thread. We could use the Tasmanian More-Pork Owl as the thread's mascot:

Image

A pretty thing that More-Pork Owl. It will grace the threads cover.

We can have Ankh-More-Pork be the thread mascot city, and that city has a nice crest which features our Owl, so that crest can be eye candy inside the thread:

Image

That's a pretty nice crest for any thread.

:)

We can also open a gift shop and sell Ankh-More-Pork city watch figurines and other swag to raise money for the thread:

Image

If you'll notice there is even a thread mascot watch troll amoung those swag figurines. That will add an Ole time authentic touch to the thread.

Sam don't like it when we show conservatives in a bad light. So he'll troll the thread with inane crap with lots of big graphics.

But yes, when all the money goes rolling into states for infrastructure projects, the conservative lawmakers will fall all over themselves taking credit for the things they fought and voted against.

Which will really upset Sam if we mention it.

No, I like the idea, I really do, i said I thought it was great. Libertas should change this threads name to More-Pork because that is what we're talking about. GOP members bragging about more pork for their districts which they didn't lift their finger to earn.

Piggy, piggy, piggy.

:D

I added a touch for Carmen at the end just for fun. Because I like to have real fun. '

So all you need to do Libertas is change the name of this thread to More-Pork and all that will be realized.

Robert Reich
@RBReich

Kyrsten Sinema has taken over $750,000 from Big Pharma. Joe Manchin collects $500,000 a year from coal stocks dividends. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Always follow the money.

Oh Hells yes.

We already know that Republicans who voted against BBB, will go home and try take credit for something they refused to support.

You've not quite got the essence of this thread sorted out yet Carmen. Sinema and Manchin are both Democrats, who were instrumental in getting this bill to Biden's desk. Especially Sinema was pulling for it.

Look for Republicans who are bragging at home, who didn't vote for the infrastructure bill. Stuff them in here.

I've already noticed the Republican Don Young from Alaska bragging about the pork he's brought home. However he voted for the bill when he had the chance so he doesn't belong in the thread either.

:)

But soon there will be many who will be ripe to stuff into this thread. Libertas is not wrong, this thread will grow and grow.

Yep, that's how I saw libertas's suggestion as well. I have great enthusiasm for this thread's long term potential.

Sens. Manchin, Sinema release grotesque tweets congratulating themselves. Twitter barks back - Daily Kos op-ed
That’s the clear hope of people like Manchin and Sinema, who have allowed their corruption and cynicism (and possibly pathological narcissism) to torpedo their own chances at having a meaningful legacy of service to the American people. While Manchin’s one driving force is his own corruption and that of his corrupt family, Sinema’s motivations have been hard to pin down. Either way, both senators have let down the American people and have greatly hurt other Democratic candidates and incumbents’ chances in the coming months. What will happen next remains a mystery as House Democrats, who agreed to the original compromise of $3.5 trillion spent over 10 years to be coupled with a reconciliation package, are now in a place where the White House is desperate to get something passed and Sens. Manchin and Sinema have shown they are not trustworthy people—at all.
Corrupt people defend corrupt politicians.

I think Sinema hanging around with the worst Republican politicians on the Hill and meeting with GOP donors speaks for itself.

It does. Apparently we’re supposed to be grateful for this because she has a D after her name. Well, so did every Dixiecrat, big deal.

He is such a complete prick.

Someone on MSNBC describing him in his 20's and how he cared ONLY for power then and now, had and has zero interest in constituents.

He is a prick and a snapping turtle. But like Don Young from Alaska who has also praised the bill, he voted for it.

They get to praise it if they voted for it.

But he's still a prick... .

Only a tiny handful of Republicans believe in infrastructure. Remember they never came close to doing anything when they had all the power under Trump.

But they'll ALL take credit for that money coming in, won't they?

Just like they took credit for Biden's Covid Relief bill, when they were against it.

Oh? I bet if Pelosi didn't have their votes in her pocket, then the Dems would have voted for it rather than let it die.

Aren't you the one that makes that point all the time about votes in Congress?
