My feline niece went to the rainbow bridge today

Post by 47of74 »

My feline niece Maggie passed away today.

Image

She had a good, long life. 18 years. She had been doing good until just in the past few months. Maggie went into the hospital late last week and wasn't getting better so my sister and brother in law decided it was time.

Maggie's in a much better place, being pain free and doing her best to ignore Morgan (avatar kitty) and trying to pretend not to be happy to see Morgan again.

My condolences to you. You'll be remembering Maggie for many years to come. Our family cat died back in the mid-70s and I still remember him fondly. Pets become family members and rarely do we forget them when they're gone.

very sorry for you 47. it seems to be going around.

my 19yr old feral is on her way too. shes only about half here presently.
ive been dealing with her delicate eating habits the last months, she has now stopped
eating, will drink some water is all.
im giving her CBD drops, she seems much more relaxed and rests well.

vets make house calls here but im not having a stinky new human burst into her space
and fill her with stinks and ..what? he cant do anything for her, cant make her younger.
she can pass at home with me where she is not fearful or scared.

ill have her cremated and take her ashes to the horses grave where i put all the other cats dogs ashes
and she will then be with her half bros and dog buddies.

my BFF in the city now is going thru the same thing with her 19yr old cat from her old ranch.

i found my printed paper copy of The Rainbow Bridge, unexpectedly, in a box of photos over the weekend.
it seemed a good time to go thru that box of pictures and be sad where i also then found a bunch
of old weed which is very very good old weed.

happy trails kitties. you did good.

Many condolences. Maggie was about the same age as my last cat...Boetz.
