It's self-documenting if you go far enough, but here you go anyway:

It's International Women's Day. A mother/grandmother gives her little girl a book, and talks about women building airplanes in WWII. The girl then goes off with the book, and visualizes herself going along with:

Ida B. Wells, an African-American woman who fought for their rights, among other activities.

Lotfia ElNadi, a female aviator from Egypt.

Frida Kahlo, who needs no introduction.

Linda Bo Bardhi, a Brazilian modernist architect.

Olga Skorokhodova, a blind Russian medical researcher.

Miriam Makeba;

Sally Ride;

Halet Çambel, Turkish archeologist and first Muslim woman in the Olympics;

Ada Lovelace, English mathematician who wrote computer code in the 1800s;

Rukmini Devi, Indian choreographer and dancer, who was politically active;

Cecilia Grierson, first woman in Argentina to get a MD degree;

Lee Tai-young, first female lawyer and judge in Korea;

Suzanne Lenglen, French woman's tennis star.

Note how the women become more numerous in each panel, as if their involvement is increasing.

In the last panel, the girl tells the mother/grandmother what she's learned about the contributions made by women. She then goes happily off to sleep.

"Our democratic institutions... seem to have been upended by frat-boy billionaires from California," remarked Canadian politician Charlie Angus. (BBC, 11/27/18)
