Yeah. I don't think this ever was a U.S. only problem. Say, have you been watching what's going on in France?
Looks like the violence and riots (which BTW I still consider unacceptable ... the peaceful protests were fine) are finally starting to calm down after a policeman killed a North African teen Nahel M. who was 17 years old (he was shot in his car).
The officer has been charged. That's good news. However, so far his defense fund has raised more money than the one for the family of the dead teenager.

France has been cruising for a bruising for a very long time now. The northern suburbs of Paris and similar parts of Marseilles, etc, are basically ghettos. They're full of migrant families or their descendants from the usual Middle Eastern and South Asian war zones. They aren't absorbed well by the rather self-infatuated native French culture. It's a lot like here, and it finally blew, for pretty much the same reasons our cities blew in 2020.
The last time I saw Paris (sounds like a song), there was anti-cop graffiti and a few boarded up stores that had been looted in the last rumble. Any urban American, no matter how poorly they comprehend French culture, could see that something very bad was building up.
