Kanye West Disconnects & Deletes His Twitter & Instagram Accounts

Maybe West needed a break.

Kanye West is taking a well-needed hiatus from social media... again. The outspoken rapper disappeared from Twitter and Instagram on Saturday afternoon (October 6). Twitter has been 'Ye's top platform to communicate with his fans, but his Twitter fingers have landed him in endless controversy. Ye's tweets supporting Donald Trump and comparing their dragon energy sent the internet into an uproar earlier this year. He continued on to make questionable statements about slavery, fight for prison reform, and talk about many random topics that came to mind. Most recently, West's tweets about the 13 amendment caused wide-spread backlash. Although his intentions were good (as explained by T.I., the 13 amendment allows slavery as a punishment, incentivizing mass incarceration), West was once again a victim of his own words.

Susan Collins is already running scared from Susan Rice — and deletes endorsement from her website

Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) is in a race for her political career, and she doesn’t even have an official opponent yet.

When rumors began to fly that Susan Rice, a former senior aide to President Barack Obama, had a home in the state and that her mother was born there, Collins was quick to attack.

She doesn't have an official opponent yet, oh dear, because it's two blasted years and about one whole month before her official election time comes around.

That's purely RAW.

Why I’m Leaving the Republican Party

Unlike Senator Susan Collins, who took pages upon pages of text on national television to tell us something we already knew, I will cut right to the chase: I am out of the Republican Party.

I will also acknowledge right away what I assume will be the reaction of most of the remaining members of the GOP, ranging from “Good riddance” to “You were never a real Republican,” along with a smattering of “Who are you, anyway?”

Mike Huckabee Dismisses Taylor Swift’s Political Endorsement Because ‘13-Year-Old Girls’ Can’t Vote

Taylor Swift fans put Mike Huckabee in his place after he implied the pop star’s support for a Democrat in Tennessee’s senate race is meaningless because her fans aren’t old enough to vote.

“So @taylorswift13 has every right to be political but it won’t impact election unless we allow 13 yr old girls to vote,” Huckabee tweeted Monday morning, adding his support for Republican Rep. Marsha Blackburn.

I like Taylor Swift.

What would Mike Huckabee know about it? "13-Year-Old Girls’ Can’t Vote."

Thirteen year old girls can too vote. Men like Ole Huckleberry just won't allow them to vote. :|

I had to laugh when Drumpf said he now likes Swift's music 25% less.

Mark Ruffalo 'fired' by 'Avengers 4' directors on Twitter

The Avengers 4 director duo of Joe and Anthony Russo have fired Mark Ruffalo, who portrayed Bruce Banner/Hulk in the movie, via Twitter.

According to kompas.com, the move was due to Ruffalo disclosing the top-secret title and ending of the upcoming film when he was a guest on The Tonight Show on Saturday. Well, not actually, as the words he said related to the spoilers were heavily censored. However, the audience could be heard screaming and yelling enthusiastically the whole time, suggesting the excitement was real.

Georgia GOP candidate fires campaign member for racist social media posts that encouraged people to ‘vote white’

Valerie Clark, a Republican candidate for Georgia House District 101, has fired a campaign member for old racist social media posts in which he encouraged his followers to “vote white.”

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Clark this week denounced the multiple racist and sexist messages that former campaign staffer Aaron Zhanik Brock posted years ago when he was 18 years old.alerie Clark, a Republican candidate for Georgia House District 101, has fired a campaign member for old racist social media posts in which he encouraged his followers to “vote white.”

Ex-Cleveland officer who killed Tamir Rice backs out of part-time job with Ohio police department - Cleveland.com

Quote:
Jeff Follmer, the president of the Cleveland Police Patrolmen's Association union that represents rank-and-file officers, also confirmed that Loehmann decided not to take the job. Follmer cited "political pressure" as the reason Loehmann decided to rescind his application.

The village of Bellaire hired Loehmann last week to serve as a part-time police officer. Bellaire is a small town of about 4,000 people that borders the Ohio River at the West Virginia border.

Bellaire's police chief, Richard "Dick" Flanagan defended his decision in a statement to the Wheeling, West Virginia newspaper The Intelligencer: "(Loehmann) was cleared of any and all wrongdoing. He was never charged. It's over and done with."

Prosecutors charge Newsweek’s former parent company with fraud

Newsweek’s former parent company has been charged by Manhattan prosecutors with carrying out a complex scheme to defraud lenders out of millions of dollars as part of an effort to keep the struggling media organization afloat.

The indictment follows a more than yearlong fraud probe by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office that has also been examining possible advertising abuses at IBT Media and its connections to Olivet University, a bible college in California, according to people briefed on the investigation.

GOP official resigns after saying Sharice Davids would be sent back to reservation - Kansas City.com

Quote:
The Kansas Republican who said of Democratic congressional candidate Sharice Davids, “your radical socialist kick boxing lesbian Indian will be sent back packing to the reservation,” has resigned as a precinct committeeman.

Johnson County Republican Party chairman Mike Jones confirmed that Michael Kalny of Shawnee resigned his post Wednesday in the aftermath of the Facebook message becoming public earlier this week.

“He reflected an apologetic attitude and didn’t want to bring negative attention on the party or candidates running in this area,” Jones said.

Kalny’s Facebook message was sent to Anne Pritchett, president of the Johnson County Democratic Women’s north chapter, on Monday.

“Little Ms. Pritchett — you and your comrades stealth attack on Yoder is going to blow up in your leftist face,” Kalny wrote. “The REAL REPUBLICANS will remember what the scum DEMOCRATS tried to do to Kavanaugh in November. Your radical socialist kick boxing lesbian Indian will be sent back packing to the reservation.” Roughly 50 exclamation points followed the end of the message.

Like 50% of Native Americans in this country, Sharice Davids has never lived on a reservation.

Oh' Dear, The National Review has copied the concept of this thread. They're running an editorial board gaze into their stupid crystal ball, the headline reads, "Bye, Heidi."

I think she has even odds to make it. :D

I done't have a crystal ball though.

My driveway's paved in quarts crystals. They crunch loud when the car goes across them. Maybe that helps. :)

Fyre Festival Promoter Gets 6 Years in Prison for Fraud

Finally someone is going to pay for the abysmal sandwiches and electricity-less tent sham known as Fyre Festival, and it isn't Ja Rule. The fest’s organizer and promoter Billy McFarland has been sentenced to six years in federal prison after pleading guilty to fraud back in March.

McFarland was sentenced on Thursday, per the New York Times, for his elaborate festival scheme that promised luxury, celebrity, and music, but in reality left hundreds of ticketed attendees stranded on an island in the Bahamas.

Malaysia says it will end death penalty for all crimes

Kuala Lumpur: Malaysia's new government said it would abolish the death penalty for all crimes and halt all pending executions, a rare move against capital punishment in Asia that human rights groups hailed as a major advance.

More than 1200 people, including Sydney grandmother Maria Elvira Pinto Exposto, are on death row in Malaysia, which mandates hanging as punishment for a wide range of crimes including murder, drug trafficking, treason, kidnapping and acts of terror.

How sad, that flagrant voter suppression is the level of malignant white conservative malfeasance it takes for certain types to have a come-to-jesus moment. :problem:

Saudi ‘Davos in the Desert’ Attendees Are Dropping Out

The mysterious disappearance of a prominent Saudi government critic is prompting some company leaders to back away from the “Davos in the Desert” event intended to showcase Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s modernization plan for the desert kingdom.

Turkish officials allege Jamal Khashoggi, a Washington Post columnist who lived in self-imposed exile, was murdered in the kingdom’s consulate in Istanbul after entering the building on Oct. 2. They now say they have audio and video recordings that show a Saudi security team detained Khashoggi in the consulate before killing him and dismembering his body, the Washington Post reported. Saudi officials say Khashoggi left the building unharmed.
