A musician known for his love of Donald Trump stormed off stage over the weekend after getting angry about Spanish-speaking fans.

Gucci Apologizes for a Balaclava Sweater That Looked an Awful Lot Like Blackface

Gucci has issued an abject apology after people noticed that its black balaclava sweater, which features cartoonishly thick, red lips around the mouth cut-out, looks an awful lot like blackface.

“Balaclava knit top by Gucci. Happy Black History Month y’all,” quipped one Twitter user on Wednesday, when the social media backlash kicked off.

Georgia Ethics Chief Resigns Amid Reports He Watched Porn On Work Computer

Georgia’s ethics chief resigned on Friday amid an investigation into improper workplace conduct, including several reports that he watched porn on his state computer.

Stefan Ritter, who served as executive secretary of the Georgia State Ethics Commission since 2015, was placed on paid leave in January after several staffers filed complaints against him. The commission has not commented publicly on the contents of those complaints.

Cardinal says closing seven 'of our beloved schools' tough decision

WASHINGTON — In the First Letter of Peter, we read: "Beloved, do not be surprised that a trial by fire is occurring among you, as if something strange were happening to you. But rejoice to the extent that you share in the sufferings of Christ, so that when his glory is revealed you may also rejoice exultantly."

Cardinal Timothy Dolan of New York invoked this theme in a Twitter video he posted late Feb. 4 about school closures.

Who's the real troublemakers now GOP.

3 RW Terrorists arrested in Florida who kidnap immigrants, then beat, rob them. More arrests likely

Steven Miller must be so proud that RW Terrorists have adopted his racist ideas about kidnapping immigrants, and carried them out on their own. This happened in Florida, where the Trump chumps seem to be even crazier, and more violent.

Three people have been arrested and there could be more after a kidnapping, armed robbery and beating that may be part of a criminal scheme targeting undocumented immigrants, Davie police said.

The abduction happened about 9 p.m. Saturday and ended about 8:45 a.m. Sunday after the victim was beaten, robbed, and threatened with death or deportation if he went to the police, said Sgt. Mark Leone.

Texas councilman apologizes and deletes Twitter account after calling Ocasio-Cortez a 'bimbo'

A Richardson, Texas, city councilman apologized and deleted his Twitter account after he called Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) a "bimbo" in a tweet.

Scott Dunn wrote in a now-private Facebook post that he was sorry for the "offensive" remarks he says he used in defense of President Trump's State of the Union address, according to the New York Daily News.

Alabama church removes pew honoring Confederate president

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — An Alabama church has removed a pew honoring Confederate President Jefferson Davis, saying the memorial had no place at a time when rebel symbols have been adopted by white supremacists.

The pastor of St. John's Episcopal Church, Robert C. Wisnewski Jr., posted a message on the church website last week saying the wooden pew was dedicated more than 90 years ago at a service featuring a pro-lynching segregationist.

Rebel symbols adopted by white supremacists? WTF did these people think was the basis for the Confederacy?

‘Non Sequitur’ comic strip dropped by newspapers over hidden Trump profanity

A Pennsylvania newspaper is dropping the popular comic strip Non Sequitur over a profane message about President Donald Trump drawn into one of its panels.

Rod Vodenichar, the publisher and general manager of the Butler Eagle, said he made the decision after a reader complained that there was a vulgar message about the president in the comic strip by cartoonist Wiley Miller.

Let's hope he doesn't pull an escape stunt here like he did in Mexico.

Notorious drug lord Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman convicted

Mexico's most notorious drug lord, Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman, was convicted Tuesday of running an industrial-scale smuggling operation after a three-month trial packed with Hollywood-style tales of grisly killings, political payoffs, cocaine hidden in jalapeno cans, jewel-encrusted guns and a naked escape with his mistress through a tunnel.

Guzman faced a drumbeat of drug-trafficking and conspiracy convictions that could put the 61-year-old escape artist behind bars for decades in a maximum-security U.S. prison selected to thwart another one of the breakouts that embarrassed his native country.

Wow, that went right by me. I thought (with my too many years of college) that it was just a pretty funny parody of Leonardo's drawings complete with Vitruvian bear. I didn't think to look harder at the scribbles below the flying machine.

Way to go, Wiley!

Odd that the guy at the link who seems the most pissed off is in Norway. Shouldn't he be more concerned with what happens in his country? I don't tell people in France what to do about the yellow vests.

Very odd, and the Norwegian guy and his followers seem to be right-wing nut jobs. Read what he re-tweets.

The fact that he is probably right makes one worry about the brain effects of coal mine pollution in WV water.

Students accused of threatening teacher on Instagram account

Two middle school students could be facing felony charges after being arrested for allegedly cyberstalking and threatening their teacher and her family on Sunday through an Instagram account called “Southwood School Shooter.”

The kids, ages 12 and 13, who attend Southwood Middle School in Palmetto Bay, Fla., allegedly used the account to start following the teacher’s personal Instagram account, then began privately messaging her, according to the Miami Herald. “You and your children are next on Valentine’s Day for making my life I’m finna kill all yo family and shoot up yo bitch ass school,” the message reportedly read. The teacher said she also found an exclamation point left as a comment from the account on a photo of her infant daughter.

Three teachers in New York put on leave after noose images displayed in classroom - NCB

Quote:
Three teachers at a middle school on Long Island, New York, have been placed on paid administrative leave after an image of a pair of nooses labeled "back to school necklaces" were displayed in a classroom, officials said.

The teachers have been “reassigned to home” with pay pending an investigation, according to Alfred T. Taylor, school board president of the Roosevelt Union Free School District.

All three teachers are white, he said.

The noose images were part of a larger collage that was in one of the classrooms at Roosevelt Middle School, which has a student body that is almost entirely black and Hispanic. The collage showed two nooses and also featured the words "ha" and "#yes."

The school district in the town of Roosevelt said it took "appropriate action" against the teachers for the display of the "racially offensive images" when it was made aware of the incident Thursday.

Two of the teachers have been employed by the district for two to three years and one has taught there for about 20 years, Taylor told NBC News.

The three women could be fired for "conduct unbecoming of a teacher" and possibly lose their teaching licenses, he said.

It is unclear who made the collage or how long it was displayed in the classroom.

Taylor, who is African-American, said the incident is dividing the community because some people lack an understanding of the historic significance of a noose.

Um, no, in Long Island they understand the historic significance of a noose. Why do you think they used noose imagery in the first place, wtf.

Prime Time Sports closing in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Colorado Springs sporting goods store Prime Time Sports is closing, the owner announced in a Facebook post Monday.

The store made headlines last fall when it announced a boycott on Nike products in the wake of Nike's Colin Kaepernick campaign, and before that canceled an autograph appearance by former Broncos linebacker Brandon Marshall following his decision to take a knee during the national anthem in 2016.
