Stephon Clark 'deserved it,' nurse wrote on Facebook. Now she's no longer working for Kaiser.

Kaiser Permanente has parted ways with a nurse whose Facebook comments about Stephon Clark, the unarmed black man killed by Sacramento police on March 18, incited a social media firestorm after an activist put them in the spotlight.

Canova is going to have a hard up-hill battle to unseat her. She beat him in the primary with 57% of the vote. Even if he's on the ballot in the general election he'll need to pull enough votes away from her and the republican candidate in order to have a chance and that may be the hardest part of his campaign.

This is what REAL indoctrination by teachers looks like.

Florida public school teacher, 25, is 'removed from the classroom' after it emerged she hosted a white nationalist podcast where she boasted about spreading her political views to children
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... dcast.html

Teacher who ran white supremacist podcast she said was satire submits resignation - CNN

Quote:
TCharles E. Moore, Volitich's attorney, had no comment on his client's resignation letter.
Volitich, 25, taught social studies at Crystal River Middle School in Crystal River, Florida. Online, she went by the pseudonym "Tiana Dalichov." Last month, she confirmed through her attorney that she was the one speaking as Dalichov on the podcast, but said her comments were "political satire and exaggeration" and the persona was a "hobby."
"None of the statements released about my being a white nationalist or white supremacist have any truth to them, nor are my political beliefs injected into my teaching of social studies curriculum," she said in the statement.

Uh-huh.

A Florida Democratic National Committee member who offended African-Americans for using the phrase “colored people” resigned his office Wednesday as the state party chairwoman and other officials called on him to quit — echoing the comments of his own wife, the Democratic Party chair in Duval County.

“I misspoke and used language that was hurtful. I apologized and pledged that I would learn from my mistake,” John Parker said in a letter to local, state and national officials that tendered his resignation as the Duval County Democratic state committeeman and as a DNC member from Florida.

“I understand my error perpetuates divisiveness and does not allow us an opportunity for the important types of meaningful discourse — a conversation our party must engage in sooner rather than later — that help us grow as individuals and a party protecting the dignity of all people,” he wrote.

Parker had said he meant to say “people of color” instead of “colored people” and eventually apologized for his offhanded remarks Jan. 22 after a local Democratic Party meeting in Jacksonville, Fla.

Rep. Elizabeth Esty, a Democrat from Connecticut, announced Monday that she will not seek re-election after The Washington Post revealed that she kept her chief of staff in his position for three months after learning that he allegedly harassed and threatened another staffer.

“I have determined that it is in the best interest of my constituents and my family to end my time in Congress at the end of this year and not seek re-election,” Esty wrote in a statement.

“Too many women have been harmed by harassment in the workplace,” the three-term congresswoman continued. “In the terrible situation in my office, I could have and should have done better. To the survivor, I want to express my strongest apology for letting you down. In Congress, and workplaces across the country, we need stronger workplace protections and to provide employees with a platform to raise concerns, address problems, and work to reduce and eliminate such occurrences, in the first place. In my final months in Congress, I will use my power to fight for action and meaningful change.”

Christian DA resigns after grand jury indicts him for trading sex with women drug dealers for lighter sentences.

Quote:
A Christian prosecutor who regularly boasted of waging culture wars against liberals resigned this week amid allegations that he gave women drug dealers lighter sentences in exchange for sexual favors.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that Bedford County District Attorney William Higgins stepped down from his position after he was charged by a grand jury of offering female convicts leniency if they met his sexual demands.

Per the Post-Gazette, the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office charged Higgins with “obstructing administration of law or other governmental function, official oppression, recklessly endangering another person, intimidation of witnesses or victims and hindering apprehension or prosecution.”

“District Attorney Higgins traded his power and law enforcement authority for sexual favors and violated his oath to the people of Bedford County — compromising the security of his community and the safety of confidential informants,” state Attorney General Josh Shapiro said in a statement on the grand jury indictment.

This story about it is clean.

https://www.post-gazette.com/news/state ... 1804040148

I had some confusion as I was reading the story with the raw flesh added. I was wondering where on Earth is this town named Christian this DA worked for. It turns out it was just name calling crap Raw Story added to incite raw passions.

Raw Story calling him a Crusading Christian is about the same thing this DA does when he spouts his "anti-Christian, ban-school-prayer, war-on-Christmas, oppose-display-of-Ten-Commandments" anti liberal rhetoric. A tit for tat tar brushing.

What I would label this DA with is the term Nationalist. And modify it with the words White Evangelical Protestant because he does press upon White Evangelical Protestants beliefs and fears to further his ambitions.

"White Evangelical Protestants Nationalists" rather than "Christian" because that separates him and other White Evangelical Protestant Nationalists from those not White, not Protestants, not Nationalist, Christians he and his ilk have been using for cover.

I think most of us here are perfectly capable of deciding who we we want to take shots at.

Particularly if you and your attorney have committed a violation of campaign finance law, by somewhere around $126,000.

He sure is acting guilty.

What I'm watching is this, "In September 2015, early in the GOP primary race, Pinchuk donated $150,000 to the Trump Foundation. In return, Trump appeared via video conference at an event in Kiev promoting ties between Ukraine and Western countries."

https://www.vox.com/2018/4/9/17217756/t ... foundation

Michael Cohen set that up. Cohen asked for that money, and Trump's appearance in that video conference amounted to twenty minutes. Twenty minutes where he ad libbed incoherently, bashing Obama. $450,000 per hour. :|

Considering into this that odd addition to the Republican plank about Ukraine during the RNC convention which followed that looks like it might be bribery.

There's also the issue of the $130,000 hush money payoff to Stormy. Which, since it was made during the late stages of the campaign, and provided support to the campaign, should be categorized as a campaign contribution. And which exceeds the legal individual campaign contribution which can be accepted by a paltry $127,300.
