Packers release statement on WR arrested for alleged bomb joke at airport

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Trevor Davis was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport over the weekend after he reportedly learned that explosives are nothing to joke about when you’re about to board a flight.

I guess his joke bombed. TSA got no sense of humor.

There's usually signs posted in the airport warning that you are not supposed to joke about explosives or bringing destructive devices in the plane.

When they post signs ... you should read them. ;)

Former Texas Congressman Steve Stockman found guilty on 23 of 24 accounts defrauding two conservative mega-donors. Among the charges he was found guilty of includes mail and wire fraud, money laundering, violations of federal election laws. He could be looking at decades in prison.

Quote:
Steve Stockman, a Republican former congressman from Texas, has been convicted of defrauding two conservative mega-donors and funneling their $1.25 million into personal and campaign expenses as part of what prosecutors have described as a “white collar crime spree.”

A jury in federal court in Houston ruled Thursday afternoon that Stockman is guilty of all but one of the 24 felonies he was charged with last March. After about 16 hours of deliberations over three days, the 12-person panel only declined to convict on one of four counts of wire fraud.

A former broadband advisor picked by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to push high-speed internet access in rural areas has been arrested on multi-million dollar fraud charges. It is alleged that during her time with Alaska-based fiber optic cable provider Quintillion, former CEO Elizabeth Pierce raised more than $250 million from investment firms in New York using forged contracts from other companies. By using bogus documents, she convinced other investors that Quintillion had already secured backing from elsewhere, leading them to believe their investment was stronger than it actually was.

Aaron Brothers is going back to its core framing business, and will close all but three small stores. It will become a framing department in Michael's.

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-mich ... SKBN1GY09E

I had two works by a famous artist framed at Aaron Bros for a fraction of what the fancy schmancy art world would do it for. They look great, and for the first time they're worth a fair amount of money... were they for sale. Just gotta know what to tell them to do.

Gotta admit, though, that it's easier buying materials for making art online. You get the ones you want. Of course you miss out on the advice from good artists who are working in the places to eat.
