MSNBC's Joy Reid Says "I Genuinely Do Not Believe I Wrote Those Hateful Things" - Hollywood Reporter

:problem:

:problem: :problem: :problem:

If anything, they sound like drunk-posting antigay rants. Rant after rant after rant. For months.

The double-down with the lying and coverup isn't working, Joy. Thing is, she was not alone in those views on the left from the same time period. Everybody now pretends to be on board with LGBTQ rights when they aren't. Be LGBTQ and assert your rights; watch the gloves come off.

It would be a good time to discuss this larger phenomenon honestly, but I highly doubt that's in the cards, either.

In vino veritas. I have no doubt that there are/were some on the left, don't know the numbers, that felt that way. it would be surprising if there weren't. The left aren't saints but then unlike the right the left doesn't pretend to be. Instead the left acknowledges its shortcomings, mostly, and tries to move forward.

That's interesting. A lot of the kids are on WhatsApp because they think it's more private than FB messenger.

Trying to say, "but WhatsApp is Facebook"...well maybe it will have an impact, now.

Not quite "bye," but the walls have been closing in on this predator for the past several years.

Time's Up Demands Investigation Into R. Kelly Sexual Abuse Accusations - Yahoo News

Quote:
Time’s Up, the anti-sexual violence initiative created by women in hollywood in the wake of the Me Too movement, is calling on people to #MuteRKelly.

The organization sent out a statement Monday morning condemning R&B artist R. Kelly over the dozens of sexual misconduct allegations made against him, such as child sexual abuse and sex slavery. Time’s Up demanded “appropriate investigations and inquiries” into the allegations of sexual abuse, made primarily by black women and their families.

“To Our Fellow Women of Color: We see you. We hear you. Because we are you,” the Time’s Up statement reads. “For too long, our community has ignored our pain. The pain we bear is a burden that too many women of color have had to bear for centuries. The wounds run deep.”

The organization called on people to join the campaign by tweeting their support using the hashtag #MuteRKelly, and urged companies such as Ticketmaster, Spotify and Apple Music to cut ties with Kelly.

Twitter is blocking Cambridge Analytica from buying ads because of business ‘conflicts’

The latest revelation in Facebook’s Cambridge Analytica data scandal has nothing to do with Facebook: This time, it’s Twitter. Twitter has suspended Cambridge Analytica from advertising on its platform because it has a “business model that inherently conflicts with acceptable Twitter Ads business practices.”

> Gibson files bankruptcy

Gibson expanded beyond its core competency, and took on too much debt.

I've read that after the reorganization it'll be back to making guitars and not much else. They still sell a lot of guitars, changes in pop music notwithstanding.

Presumably Les Pauls didn't just become valuable rarities.
