Minnesota lawmaker drops re-election bid after his 23-year old daughter accuses him of sexual abuse.

Quote:
Minnesota Republican state Rep. Jim Knoblach abruptly dropped his re-election bid Friday, after Minnesota Public Radio reported that his grown daughter is accusing him of sexual abuse.

Knoblach’s 23-year-old daughter Laura told MPR that Knoblach had touched her inappropriately for most of her life, with her first memories of the abuse beginning at age nine. She says she told authority figures at her school and at her church for years.

Knoblach denies the allegations, but his attorney says he’s dropping out of the race because he “does not want to drag his family through six weeks of hell.”

Laura told MPR News about the abuse and provided the station with documentation chronicling her efforts to get help.

Canceled: Steve Harvey Just Lost His Long-Running Talk Show To This Pop Star

It appears as it's the end of the road for Steve Harvey's daily talk show, Steve, as the show has reportedly been canceled, for good.

What's more surprising, though, is that the program's parent network has reportedly already secured its replacement, and it's likely to be a familiar face to many.

His successor will likely be installed by the end of the 2018-19 season.

dumb bigot

He’s an abuser. Disgusting, horrific and most likely unredeemable as shown by his comments.

Ed Whelan Takes ‘Leave Of Absence’ From Ethics Group After Bizarre Kavanaugh Theory

The conservative lawyer and commentator who concocted a theory that Brett Kavanaugh’s accuser confused him with someone else at a high school party is taking a leave from his role as president of an “ethics and public policy” Washington think tank.

In a series of tweets Thursday, Ed Whelan presented a bizarre theory on Twitter that accuser Christine Blasey Ford was not sexually assaulted by Kavanaugh when the two were high school students, as she alleged. Instead, he suggested she may have been attacked by a classmate of Kavanaugh’s who looked very much like him. Whelan named the man and posted a photo of him in his tweet thread.

Dallas officer Amber Guyger fired after manslaughter charge for killing Botham Jean - Dallas News

Quote:
Dallas Police Officer Amber Guyger, who fatally shot 26-year-old Botham Jean in his Cedars apartment, was fired Monday — days after Police Chief Renee Hall said doing so would compromise the criminal investigation.

Police said in a news release that Hall fired Guyger after an internal investigation found the officer had engaged in "adverse conduct" when she was charged with manslaughter three days after the shooting.

Guyger's firing was lauded by the mayor — who called it "the right decision in the interest of justice" — and others who have been calling for her termination for weeks. Guyger has been on administrative leave since the shooting and is free, as she awaits trial, on a $300,000 bond.

Guyger shot Jean, her upstairs neighbor, the night of Sept. 6. She told authorities she mistook his apartment for her own and believed Jean, who was unarmed, was a burglar. Lee Merritt, an attorney for Jean's family, has cast doubt on Guyger's version of events.

She'll still walk :problem:. But this is a step in the right direction.

Took them long enough.

No class action for unhappy Uber drivers: U.S. appeals court

(Reuters) - Uber Technologies Inc won a legal victory on Tuesday as a federal appeals court said drivers seeking to be classified as employees rather than independent contractors must arbitrate their claims individually, and not pursue class-action lawsuits.

In a 3-0 decision, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco reversed a lower court judge’s denial of Uber’s motion to compel arbitration in three lawsuits.

Bill Cosby sentenced to 3-10 years, deemed 'sexually violent predator'

NORRISTOWN, Pa. —

A judge sentenced comedian Bill Cosby to three to 10 years in state prison Tuesday, five months after a jury found him guilty of drugging and molesting a onetime friend in 2004.

Judge Steven O’Neil handed down the sentence after ruling earlier in the day that Cosby, 81, is a “sexually violent predator.” The designation means he will have to undergo lifetime counseling and report regularly to authorities.

Senate GOP kills Republican-introduced bill that would limit Trump’s ability to bring unpopular tariffs

The Senate GOP has essentially killed a bill introduced by Republicans that would limit Donald Trump’s unpopular tariffs.

Roll Call reported that Republicans will not hold a vote on a bill introduced by Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN) that would have created a review process by which Congress would approve any trade restrictions.

Sweden PM Ousted in Confidence Vote as Political Turmoil Deepens

(Bloomberg) -- Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven was voted out in a confidence vote in parliament as the center-right opposition and the nationalists joined forces to end four years of Social Democratic rule.

The vote sets up lengthy government talks. An election two weeks ago left Lofven’s coalition with a lead of just one seat over the Alliance opposition and saw the Sweden Democrats grab 62 seats in the 349-person legislature. With the nationalists as power-brokers, there’s no clear path to power for either of the two establishment blocs.

White Nationalist military contractor in Afghanistan fired and sent home after wearing a “Kekistan” flag patch on his uniform.
[quote]A civilian contractor working with the U.S. armed forces in Afghanistan has been fired after video footage posted online this week showed him wearing a white nationalist “Kekistan” flag patch on his helmet.

Sgt. 1st Class Debra Richardson, spokeswoman for U.S. forces in Afghanistan, told HuffPost in an email Tuesday that the man worked for the Virginia-based aviation consultant company MAG Aerospace.

Richardson declined to identify the man, but said he was “immediately terminated” by MAG Aerospace “for a violation of company standards” and “is scheduled to depart Afghanistan today, Sept 25.”

Richardson told HuffPost that MAG Aero requires its employees to obey “any and all rules and regulations devised by the U.S. Army.” The army follows DOD policy, which, “under the Hatch Act, prohibits partisan political activity of civilian employees while they are on duty,” Richardson said.

I sure the sicko's White Nationalist buddies can help him find the unemployment office when he arrives home.

Vermont state Rep. Kiah Morris (D) announced she will be resigning from the legislature after a series of racially motivated harassment and threats.

She said in a Facebook post on Tuesday that she had initially intended to serve for the remainder of her term, which would have been completed in January, but added that “this time has proven to be one of significant challenge for my family.”

Measure to allow adoption agencies to ban gay & lesbian parents dies in the House

A provision that would have punished states for protecting LGBTQ adoptive and foster parents has failed in the House.

In July, Republicans on the House Appropriations Committee attached the Aderholt amendment, which would have banned states from enforcing anti-discrimination laws if they conflicted with an adoption agency’s religious beliefs, to a funding bill for the Departments of Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education.

Lol, silly, ridiculous Black con.

Didn't your parents ever tell you the people you're desperate to impress think of you as a natural rapist? Everyone is surprised calling white women skanks in public simply got you fired.
