Sen Tim Scott's skin is very dark in South Carolina we don't judge our politicians by their skin tone.

You do not own Tim Scott.

He is not yours to own, though your white conservative neo-Confederate, slaveowning culture tells you differently.

Liberals never let facts get in their way. If SC were racist he would have been primaried and lost. While he is in the Senate let me ask you about racist and the House.

Tell me how many Congressional Districts where the population is primarily African American have a white congressman.

They made sure NOT to primary him with anyone with the ability to win so they could have their token. The fix was in.

Please do NOT make Dr. Phil the head of NIMH, and do NOT make Dr. Oz the Surgeon General.

The Hill says, "Prospect of President Winfrey thrills Dems."

Democrats usually don't call themselves Dems. :|

Politico says, "Democrats say 'O! Yes!' to Winfrey."

Then after one sentence by David Axelrod they have a Republican, Mike Murphy who helped Schwarzenegger win talk about it. :|

CNN says, "An Oprah campaign might (literally) look like this":

It might. :|

oprah is far far far more proficient than the likes of pussiegrabber.

oprah built an empire...an actual empire...from Harpo studios and all its
employees who both adored her and also adored working for Harpo.
she made decisions that affected millions of humans on multiple continents.

she constructed And taught others not so fortunate how to administer an entire School
an entire education system for girls from all over Africa. and to this day this continues
to change the lives of countless humans on that continent, and, will til humans are gone.

just a couple things shes done.
vs...oh shit why point a thing out.... vs prezpussiegrabber. the consummate bullshitter.

i hope she doesnt run. there are many very highly proficient women in politics presently
who are very capable. is msO were to get into pol id name her sec of state.
that is what she does. she meets people and they make decisions.

Bernie Sanders is qualified insofar that he has been involved in Gov't his entire life. What makes him unqualified is that he is a SOCIALIST.

Sanders' entire political career is a one off accident. Not unlike although much more successful as Jesse Ventura. Had Sanders not won that first election by an eyelash I don't know where he would have landed. As prior to that win he seemingly could not hold a job.

A good example would be my very good friend and childhood next door neighbor Russ Pry, who passed away last year. Rusty was an attorney who had been involved with local Democratic Party politics from the time he was a Freshman at Akron U. He became an attorney for the local Chemical Workers Union, then worked his way to become Chairman of the Summit County Democratic Party, then became Summit County Executive.

He was beyond outstanding at every job. He went from being a successful lawyer, to the being the best County Party Chairmen in the history of our county if not the state. Then went on to become the greatest County Executive probably in the history of County Execs anywhere. I almost forgot at age 18 he ran for and became a Village Councilman.

As opposed to Sanders' who was a failure and has been giving the exact same socialist speech for over 40 years. Sanders is a joke who does not deserve to be taken seriously. The only reason he is taken seriously is because of the internet and talk radio.

All you need to do is look at how Dennis Kucinich was disrespected by the DNC as opposed to the way they kiss Socialist Sanders' ass. You on the left should have gotten on the Kucinich bandwagon as his views are very far left and he is an accomplished politician who was also successful in his life outside of politics.

You’re consistent at least. You still have any goddamn idea what socialism is but, boy, can you type the word.

Ronald fucking Reagan didn’t deserve to get taken seriously. He changed political parties with his bullshit “the party left me crap.” He ratted on fellow actors, writers in Hollywood because he was gutless during the McCarthy era. He and fellow chicken hawk John Wayne were too gutless to go to war during Ww2 but, boy, did their careers get helped out. Even worse in terms of “shouldn’t have been taken seriously” was George W. Bush. That piece of excrement failed and had to be bailed out by his daddy’s friends. Just another great Republican of the modern age of conservatism.

As for Kucinich, he was an unmitigated failure as mayor of Cleveland. He got one thing right which was muni light. He appointed completely incompetent people in his administration. But he did learn and did a better job in congress. Of course he has gone off the rails now and then. Not to mention the Republicans you love in Ohio redistricted him out by forcing him to run against Marcy Kaptur.

As for being taken seriously no one here will take you seriously until you actually learn the definitions of the terms you throw around and do some research into various programs. The military your daughter was in is the single largest socialist system in the United States. You gonna bleat about that? Didn’t think so.

This comment reminds me of the Marine Corps boot camp story of the guy from South Carolina and the guy from Illinois who go to the head to take a leak. The guy from Illinois finishes and waits for his fellow recruit by the door. The guy from South Carolina walks over to the sink and as he washing his hands he looks over at the Illinois guy, frowns, and and says, "In South Carolina we wash our hands after urinating." To which the Illinois guy replies, "In Illinois we don't piss on our hands."

Can you list three things that make her qualified? Or two, maybe one?

1] does she have any executive experience

2] Has she ever held any elected office

3] In reality she has next to no qualifications to be President

We can quibble about 2 and 3, but for an ignorant republican to bring up question 1 about the CEO and owner of a huge business empire is not only hypocritical, but is lame and stupid. That has been what so many republicans have run on..... wake up glenn.

I don't really see the need for a talk show host to be the President. That being said.... She is obviously now more than just a talk show host. She also has a huge business empire. So here is the point you are making.... inadvertently..... Trump broke the glass ceiling for completely unqualified people to become President.... so why not Oprah? I would argue than in comparison she is way more qualified than Trump. She is sane.... she hasn't been proven to lie 2000 times in the last year.... as far as we know she never just grabbed some woman by the pussy... she doesn't have 17 women accusing her of sexual misconduct.... she hasn't run a business that was a total scam and convicted of the same and had to pay massive fines to the victims.

Ray Gun was taken seriously by the corporations, which were in the process of getting their act together. They knew they had a friend after he stabbed his fellow SAG members in the back by making a sweetheart deal for residuals which "just happened" to exclude Universal from paying these. He'd also paid his dues by doing product endorsements and shilling for US Borax.

Other actors hated him. He had perhaps the worst rep of anyone in This Town. He'd been the red-baiter in chief during his time running SAG, and met Nancy in the first place after she'd seen another Nancy Davis on the blacklist, and wanted to make sure it wasn't her.

My parents could barely say his name. They thought the whole country was losing it when people started electing him to important offices. They were right, but that's another post.

He did join the military, though. He enlisted before the war started. He had some clerical type jobs, then they assigned him to make rally-the-home-front movies. There's one great moment in This Is The Army where he looks up at a box in a theater with a flag draped over it, gets all big-eyed, and says, "That's our president up there. I wonder what he's thinking."

:-/

His credit in that one btw is Lt. Ronald Reagan. The right way, the wrong way, the Army way.

Yeah, I knew about his military career. Other actors went to combat. Imo, he was a chickenshit chickenhawk.

Agreed that many other personnel went to battle situations where the dead didn't hear "Cut," then get up and take a break at the studio commissary. There is a certain feeling of stolen valor here.

Those more sympathetic to Ronzo would say that he was deemed more useful to the war effort as a propagandist than a grunt. I wasn't there, and I can't say. Let's just say that he didn't fight, and then he became yet another public figure who leaned hard on war and military heroism without ever really having done them.

Personally, I don't think such graphics belong on this message board. It shows a total lack of respect for our female members. Of course, you might be the kind of chauvinist who would post such things in a mixed-sex workplace, daring women to be offended, but somehow proud of yourself for doing so.
