Happy Birthday to New Orleans, 300-Years Young.

Laissez Le Bon Temps Rouler.

Mardis Gras has begun. Take a Walk Away (first time I had one I was more than suprised that I was not stopped by a Cop) and go enjoy the jazz.

Let The Good Times Roll.

Never been to Mardi Gras but I did enjoy the German version Fasching in Cologne. Miles long parade with many floats from which are thrown candy from the size of jawbreakers to candy bars the size of a book, flowers, beads, etc. Like Mardi Gras it was one big party. In the more rural areas of Germany, the kids would pull a rope across a street and you'd have to give them some pfennigs (pennies) to let you pass. If you're wearing a tie watch out because at any time a woman may come up and cut your tie in half.

Been in Nawlins on St. Patrick’s Day. No interest in being there during Madri Grass as Bugs Bunny would say.

I was in Dublin Ireland for a St. Patrick's Day celebration. Watching a parade in front of a bank I was surprised to see the U.S. Navy marching in the parade. I came to find out later it's a tradition for them to march in it.
