Yeah, they probably deserve their own RIP threads, but looks like this rather horrible Friday the 13th took with it --

Art Bell, the former host of "Coast to Coast AM"

and

Milos Forman, director of "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" (etc.)
https://www.cnn.com/2018/04/14/entertai ... index.html

Anybody who drives late at night with only the AM radio for company - and I used to do it a lot more - ran across Art Bell. All I can say is, I basically considered it a fun romp, kind of like an episode of the X-Files coming to life. I don't know how much Art ever took it seriously. I didn't. He was good natured.

Unfortunately, the host who succeeded him, George Noory, had an annoying habit of putting RWNJs on the air. It got worse. Noory was more overtly political, and put on all kinds of people obsessed with Obama CTs. The show became unlistenable.

Art took climate change very seriously, wrote books about it.

I know where his home in Missoula is, I've been there several times. I serviced his daughters heating and air conditioning system, tested and then mitigated the home for Radon gas. I was at the home both before and after he moved in.

He was a nice guy. His daughter is nice too.
