Well, he's out and about. Anybody have a reaction?

Does anybody plan to read his book?

I doubt I would be interested in it. My reaction is that I am glad he's talking about these issues.

If there isn't anything more to come out of it than this, it is mostly a positive for everybody except Trump.

I'm surprised there isn't already a thread on this.

So he fucked up in the fall of 2016. So fucking what. He didn't cost Clinton the election, the 60% asshole white people of this country who voted for Trump cost Clinton the election. Comey? He's the one person out there who has the goods on the deranged animal and he's telling the truth. People who know him admit and agree that he made a mistake, but they also agree he doesn't lie.

I personally think he should have waited to release this book and go on a book tour only after the Mueller investigation was completed. (Whatever its conclusion.)

While I don't think he's doing this solely out of self interest -- I happen to believe he really does care about the country and the damage Trump is doing to it -- the timing of this opens up himself & allows Twitler to attack him on those grounds.

We could go into why he felt the need to talk about the Weiner "reopen" of the Clinton email investigation right before the election ... my stink finger of blame appears to be mostly pointed at some NYC FBI agents allied to Ghouliani who pressured him to do it. Randi Rhodes has been talking quite a bit about that.

However bad that judgement call was -- to me, it's no reason to doubt his honesty regarding Trump.

Incidentally, he also says he's disappointed with Andrew McCabe deceiving him on reaching out to the media, but he also doesn't like the way Trump handled his dismissal.

I'm not going to buy his book, or start to like him.

Is somebody here telling you that you must like him?

Yes, Ghouliani politicized the NY FBI. They got to Comey.

It still feels weird that the guy who provided the October Surprise is now the one whose papers could put this president out of office.

Nope, not here or in RL.

I'm not going to start liking him. And I'm not going to buy his book.
