We are now at 34-Days before the General Election. Here in California recent polls show Democrats leading in 5-Keys Congressional Races. Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsome maintains his double-digit lead over Republican Opponent John Cox. ... 275468.php.

With just over a month to go before the Nov. 6 midterms, a flurry of polls and independent studies shows there’s movement going on in the California congressional races-and most of it favors the Democrats.

Just last week, for example, Inside Elections, a nonpartisan newsletter, upgraded Democrats’ chances in five GOP-held congressional districts. Seats held by GOP Reps. Jeff Denham of Turlock (Stanislaus County), Steve Knight of Lancaster (Los Angeles County) and Mimi Walters of Irvine (Orange County) all were were changed from “Tilt R” to “Toss-up” by Nathan Gonzalez, who runs the newsletter.

It was even worse for longtime GOP Rep. Dana Rohrabacher of Costa Mesa (Orange County) and Republican Diane Harkey, who is seeking the seat now held by retiring Rep. Darrell Issa of Vista (San Diego County). Inside Elections has moved those formerly toss-up contests into the Democratic column.

California Democrats have targeted 7-Seats held by Republicans in their effort to take control of the U.S. Congress. The magic number for Dems is 24-Seats Nationwide to gain control of Congresss.

Ducan Hunter of Alpine (San Diego) sits on a huge double-digit lead over his Democratic Challenger, but he is also facing charges of misuse of Campaign Funds, for which he has blamed his wife.

Here in California, Absentee Ballots will be going out NEXT WEEK. Please be sure to fill out your Vote By Mail and send it back in as soon as possible. If you forget to mail it in you can take to your polling station or turn it in to your County Registrar of Voters in person.

Polls open at 7:00 AM on Election Day (Tuesday November 6) and will close at 8:00PM. IF you are unsure of your registration, PLEASE RE-REGISTER TODAY. Please take at least two friends to Polls with you to vote.
