Every Thursday night, last night being the 2nd one, myself and a few others meet at our local courthouse and put out signs about the traitor and the DOJ situation. Fucking COLD last night, but democracy is worth it.

Anyway, the Woman who organized this, turns out to be a Berner as she herself described it and very much loves to repeat the phrase "corporate dems" SIGH SIGH SIGH SIGH SIGH SIGH SIGH

Now, before I continue to criticize this Woman I do give her credit, lots of credit, for being the one who brings all the signs, tells everybody where and when and most of all SHOWS the FUCK UP even when it is cold as fuck.

At one point I said "why dont we get the Nazis out of the WH before we purify our party?" she responded "we can chew gum and walk at the same time." This new meaningless catchphrase of theirs is annoying, to say the least. I wanted to say what about Bernie not releasing tax returns (other than one page for one year ONLY) or for NOT being for russian sanctions, but I could tell from her personality they would just roll off her back and nothing would matter.

Quote:
You released the summary page of your 2014 tax returns. Hillary Clinton has posted on her website the last eight years of her personal returns, all of the returns. Before the New York primary, will you match her? Will you post your full returns for the last eight years?"

https://www.politifact.com/truth-o-mete ... ns-compar/

Common sense tells us he is hiding something, something big. But it wont matter to Berners.

Anyway, the point is now that several new prog House members are making life impossible before even taking their seats by demanding this and that, well, TOLD YOU SO!

Change the 'you' to a 'us' in that image and ....well....ya got something.

oh, btw....Bernie did release his 2014 tax return. Ended up to be just as boring as he made out...

Two. Bernie was all for sanctions on Russia but voted against it......WHY? (i know it's been mentioned to you at least a couple of times before.)

Buck up though....Apparently his wife may have been involved in a shady land deal. Maybe we could lock 'em up for it.

Who only releases one year? someone with something to hide

Why be against russian sanctions? Why vote to combine russian and iran sanctions in committee then vote against them stating that is why you are voting against them? THAT is what happened

why is obvious

ANYONE who thinks these two Women would FUCK US is not a liberal, not at all...nope

The obvious question is why would someone support a candidate who clearly has something to hide?

WHY did he vote to combine the sanctions then use the reason they were combined to vote against them? WHAT fucking POSSIBLE reason ?? ?? ?? ??

And why would that someone argue with ME, the messenger and not be ALL over Bernie's ASS asking why?

What does convincing have to do with my question of why would you NOT call out someone who refuses to release tax returns, why?

And how in gods name can you claim to be liberal in ANY sense and say that about Hillary and Nancy.

Even if you believe, wrongly, they are compromised by Wall Street, they are still ten MILLION times better than any con.

I will NEVER understand your thought process and dont tell me it is because you are FAR left as to democratic socialism because NONE of you are as far left as I am in that way.

I can prove it if you want me to. Ask the professor who is the farthest left person here :rw)

Oh hardly. Though I may have read more Marx in the original than most people here. :D And other Marxist theorists.

The weird thing is I can then go back and read Weber and see where he's directly responding to Marx, particularly on issues like historical materialism and the nature of social class.

Dunno. Seems to me there's a growing portion of the Left that doesn't seem to want to talk about sexism, racism, ethnocentrism, anti-Semitism, homophobia, or anything else they call "identity politics" as apparently they will all be solved by dealing with redistributive economics. I have no idea if those people are Old, New, Up, or Down, I just don't agree with them.

The Left I want to belong to deals in Enlightenment rationality, not dark age conspiracy theorizing like "9/11 truth". I can't get why they would still want to defend Russia, a Russia now ruled by a rightist autocrat and his right-populist/nationalist neo-Tsarist political party in bed with the Russian Orthodox Church. That Left wouldn't tell Jews that someone else (like the UK Labour Party) should define anti-Semitism FOR them ... as if a group can't recognize bigotry against it and define it on their own.

I like Bernie. I just don't think he's a saint that has no political instincts. He has a certain set of issues that have worked for him in Vermont. That doesn't excuse him for being tone deaf to what other liberal constituencies are dealing with outside of his state on race, or guns, or nativism. Sure we need health care for all and a $15 minimum wage. Those things are important. AND ... well, AND ... c'mon Bernie, I love Nina Turner and Killer Mike, but you need some more black folk than that on your campaign.

And if you refuse to note that Nancy Pelosi founded the Progressive Caucus and is one of the most Progressive Dems in the House ... well, some people just don't want to see what they don't want to.

This middle of the road Democrat just did say that. You're taking it wrong.

i have the utmost respect for both Hillary and Nancy but come on.....Hillary and Nancy for 2020? Ya, that'd fly. Not just one of the most hated women in the U.S....... But, a twofer? We may as well poke 'em in the eye with a stick. If Hillary decides to run.........Well...........Bend over. We're fucked. That's what i meant. Nothing against them, i love them both.

My hope, Lib, Pelosi takes the job for two years and bows to a moderate (someone that knows the ropes.) after that. It's time to semi retire. Pass that torch, Nancy. It's something that may satisfy the new blood.

And the Never Nancy crowd.......You're in the tent now, please, i beg you, mind your fucking manners.

I would prefer that her successor be somebody who's also a liberal. Personally.

Other than that, I don't have much dog in this ongoing hunt.

As I'm hearing it, Ms. Pelosi will announce her retirement at the end of this term.

No, not another moderate. Again, the Liberals have been the backbone of the Party and if the deal that I've heard is true, Ms. Pelosi has secured Progressive support in order to secure the Gavel in return for more Progressive's in leadership roles.

Right now, Ms. Pelsoi's return to the Speaker's Chair would be a stick in the eye the Republicans.

But enough with damn moderates....

Movement Against Nancy Pelosi Is A Classic Democratic Circular Firing Squad

Anyone who closely follows House politics knows that Pelosi is the most skilled Democratic leader since Tip O’Neill, maybe even better. That’s why the Republicans keep demonizing her.

Pelosi was brilliant holding the caucus together under President Barack Obama to get the Affordable Care Act passed, and even more brilliant in opposition, making sure the Republican Congress didn’t kill it. She was superb at organizing the caucus last year so that not a single Democrat broke ranks and voted for the Trump tax bill, as dozens had voted for Bush and Reagan tax cuts.

+++

But this past week, Pelosi demonstrated just how astute a politician she is. She understands the desire for a generational shift and for younger members to assume more leadership positions.

Politico reported Friday that Rep. Pramila Jayapal of Washington state, who is expected to co-chair the House Progressive Caucus next year, met with Pelosi and won a commitment that caucus members would have more seats on major committees. Jayapal, previously uncommitted, gave Pelosi a full endorsement. She described the centrist effort to displace Pelosi as “the opposite of what the election really told us.”

+++

Democrats are famous for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. They have just succeeded in winning one of the most important midterm elections in American history, creating a firebreak to contain Donald Trump. At the moment of their triumph, many are turning to the Democrats’ favorite weapon — the circular firing squad.

It is a tribute to Pelosi’s leadership and tactical genius that she is likely to save these Democrats from themselves.

Don't get me wrong, when i say a moderate it is not on the Democrat vs Republican scale. Within the Democratic party, somewhere between Fudge and Perlosi. We need the best of both.
