Never forgive the traitorS. PLURAL

ONE of the issues of the over ONE THOUSAND (crimes, acts of treason, lies, obstruction of justice, emolument clause violations) just one of them SINKS any Democrat.

ANY democratic WH using a government entity to spy on a citizen then worked with a media source to blackmail them, are you FUCKING KIDDING ME?

And our board cons and the cons we know in general do NOT care, they see NOTHING wrong and yet if an Obama WH official came to a GOP congress and reminded the chairman his time was up you would not be able to turn on a TV for a solid MONTH and hear anything else.

Let alone lie straight to their faces all day long.

It is clear now Pecker and Rump are hiding their part in the Khashoggi murder, yet still not a word from righty. Proving that rump actually did ONE TIME tell the truth when he said he could shoot someone on 5th Avenue.

My long term concern is can we ever fully recover? GOP will NEVER treat our government with respect again, if they ever did.

Our country has been through much worse. In two years Trump will be gone and provided we have a decent and pragmatic President the recovery process will begin. As for the damage Trump has done. It could be much worse. Mostly it will take a bridge mending with key allies and a reasonable [ not 70%] tax increase. Not only on the wealthy but, on most of us. IMO, we should go back to the rates when Bill C was President as a start and adjust up or down from that point as needed or the economy dictates.

One thing for sure hatred will only beget more hatred. Was it Lincoln who said a house divided cannot stand? So hopefully, in a little over two years the all conservatives are Nazi loving klansman will come to an end. Maybe then we can get back to a Gov't that works thanks to political compromise. However, as long as either side thinks they should get the entire loaf we will all starve.

These times leave you with a lot not to forget. Like the Nixon era, I hope it will lead to major reforms in our political process to prevent future corruption.

Trump campaign paid legal fees to firm representing Jared Kushner
The president's son-in-law's estimated net worth is more than $300 million.

President Donald Trump's campaign has spent nearly $100,000 of donor money to pay legal bills to the firm representing Jared Kushner, the latest campaign finance records show.
The president's re-election campaign made two payments to the firm, Winston & Strawn LLP – $55,330 and $42,574. The expenditures were payments to Kushner's attorney Abbe Lowell for Kushner’s legal fees, sources with knowledge of the payments told to ABC News. Lowell joined the firm in May 2018.

[snip]

Since 2017, the Trump campaign and the Republican National Committee have been patrons for a number of former and current Trump associates caught up in the special counsel probe into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election.

This includes more than $276,000 the Trump campaign spent between October 2017 and April 2018 to cover some of the legal bills for the president's then personal attorney Michael Cohen, who was in a joint defense agreement with Trump.

The Republican National Committee also paid nearly $590,000 to a firm representing Trump's former communications director Hope Hicks, who appeared before the House Intelligence Committee last February for a closed-door interview related to Russia interference. According to Republicans and Democrats on the panel, Hicks refused to answer questions about her time in the White House. The Trump campaign and the RNC together also paid firms representing Donald Trump, Jr., more than $514,000.

[snip][end]

I cannot see how paying legal expenses is not a violation of campaign finance law. How on Earth are these campaign-related expenses?

It would help you guys to stop actually being Confederate-flagwaving, blackface-defending, Nazi dress up Klansmen, first.

No one with any sense should ever hold their breath even one millisecond for that, though......you guys have been behaving this way long before Nazis even existed.

Swell platitude, but you all should have considered that before mass-murdering Native Americans, African Americans, Latinos, and Asian Americans, and forging your worst social fears into laws and public policies.

Certainly, trust in the United States is quite low right now and simply replacing Trump will not immediately repair that. Especially when you consider just how much support he actually has from people of influence. Too many have given him approval, too many have sat idle without pushing back.

No, it's not going to be an easy fix.

Will I feel differently about visiting the USA when Trump is no longer in power? Maybe, but there will still be a good amount of trepidation. Though it's not all the responsibility of Trump. The role guns play is a part of why I get leary about visiting the states. It may be unwarranted, but it still is a factor and I'm more educated on the subject than some others, so you can imagine that if I'm reluctant what others may feel.

He was arguing in that speech, BTW, that the U.S. could only be entirely slave, or entirely free, but not a mixture of both types of states.

Anyway, platitudes deserve platitudes.

I agree with this one.
