Biden traveling to the war zone of Ukraine at the one year mark was an historical master stroke.

“You said that you didn’t know when we’d be able to speak again. That dark night one year ago, the world was literally at the time bracing for the fall of Kyiv,” Biden said. “Perhaps even the end of Ukraine.”

“One year later, Kyiv stands. And Ukraine stands. Democracy stands,” he declared. “The Americans stand with you and the world stands with you.”

Biden said that Kyiv has “captured a part of my heart."

Right up there with “ Ich bin ein Berliner” and “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!”

Way to go Joe!

And of course, DeSantis condemns our support for the Ukraine. This is who the right thinks should lead the world.
It is a good thing but nowhere near what Reagan and Kennedy did.

History will say different. Biden is standing against Russia just like Reagan and Kennedy did. It was a master stroke.

And DeSantis wants to let Putin have the Ukraine. And you’d vote for this Stalinist.

Everyone is running against aid to Ukraine, and are pro-Putin.

You guys need to remove Reagan as your party hero. The GOP is now the party of Neville Chamberlain.

Ron would be rolling over in his grave, seeing his party in bed with a KGB agent. Then again, maybe Ron would flip flop and be there with them.

Eli Lilly cuts insulin prices up to 70% amid pressure to slash costs
The Inflation Reduction Act, enacted in August, set a $35 price cap on insulin products for Medicare recipients.

During his State of the Union Address last month, President Joe Biden called on Congress to extend the $35 price cap on insulin products for all patients.

Speaking in Virginia on Tuesday, Biden reiterated his call for the lowering the price.

"Look at the profit margins of these companies -- they’re hundreds of billions of dollars," Biden said. "It's not like they're getting hurt."

"Let’s cap the cost of insulin at $35 a month for every single American who needs it," he added.

All patients with private insurance will receive a $35 per month price cap on insulin, Eli Lilly said on Wednesday. People without insurance can enroll in a program through the company that will allow them to receive the monthly price cap, the company added.

I'm sure our conservatives will say Biden had nothing to do with Eli Lilly price cuts but no doubt the capping of Insulin costs for Medicare through the Inflation Reduction Act played a major role in their decision.

Biden awards Medal of Honor to Black Vietnam War hero after paperwork 'lost' twice

President Joe Biden on Friday awarded the Medal of Honor to a Black Army Special Forces hero from the Vietnam War who has waited close to 60 years to receive the nation's top award for valor after the Army said the paperwork couldn't be found.

Then a 26-year-old captain, Paris Davis, now 83, led a company tearing through a larger enemy force, pushing the attack despite being shot, absorbing shrapnel and another bullet to get wounded comrades to safety, refusing to join them on the evacuation helicopter, choosing rather to stay and continue destroying the remaining adversaries.

On the Anniversary of Bloody Sunday, Biden Calls for Voting Rights Protections

On Sunday, President Joe Biden traveled to Selma, Alabama to commemorate the 58th anniversary of Bloody Sunday, the violent crackdown on voting rights activists, led by the late John Lewis and Hosea Williams, marching across the Edmund Pettus Bridge on their way to Montgomery. The brutal attack perpetrated by state troopers on March 7 left Lewis with a fractured skull and dozens of other peaceful protesters injured. It went on to play a decisive role in the passage of the Voting Rights Act of 1965, which was introduced just a few days after the attack to outlaw discriminatory voting practices.

During his speech in Selma, Biden reinforced the need to protect voting rights, a “threshold of democracy.” This fundamental right, he said, is under assault by the conservative Supreme Court and “a wave of states and dozens of voting laws fueled by the Big Lie and the election deniers now elected to office.”

Extremely delusional and batshit crazy.

It fits Trump and MTG's loony tune narrative about invading Mexico to get the cartels.

WAY TO GO JOE! Biden releases new Medicare plan to make Medicare fiscally stable! https://www.washingtonpost.com/us-polic ... taxes-gop/
The White House on Tuesday proposed raising taxes on Americans earning more than $400,000 and reducing what Medicare pays for prescription drugs in an attempt to ensure that the health-care program for seniors is funded for the next two decades, challenging Republicans over an imminent funding crisis.

As forecasters warn that a key Medicare trust fund will run into major financial problems within five years, the administration proposed three key changes — including the tax hike and new rules to reduce prescription drug costs — to bolster the program for at least 25 years.

Roughly 60 million seniors depend on Medicare for their health insurance. Because the program is spending money at a much faster clip than it brings in funding, it faces automatic federal cuts starting in 2028, raising the nightmare scenario of medical providers refusing care to senior citizens if Congress and the White House don’t address the looming shortfall first.
Of course, the GOP will go into orbit. They want to destroy Medicare, not save it.

This is a good, smart, workable plan.

Biden issues first veto, rejecting bill to reverse ESG rule

President Biden on Monday issued his first veto since taking office, rejecting a bill that would have reversed a Labor Department rule on environmental, social and governance (ESG) investing.

“I just vetoed my first bill,” Biden said in a tweet announcing the move.

Biden is no failure, he’s better than both Trump and Bush 2.

You’re projecting - it’s the GOP Presidents that have been abject failures.

And both Trump and DeSantis wants to hand the Ukraine over to Putin. And you OPENLY support DeSantis.

How is Biden a failure? The economy is booming. Unemployment is very low. Jobs being added each month is astronomical. His handling of the Ukraine situation bas been excellent to masterful. The only ones claiming he's a failure are doom and gloom republicans who lie to their brain dead base in order to gain power. Meanwhile, the House Republicans haven't done jack shit for the economy they ran on. Not one thing. It's just sham investigations and bullshit clown shows.

You can spout the party line all you want, but history is the ultimate judge on this one. It's too soon to say anything, though you will anyway.

Agreed that the performance of the Republican house hasn't exactly been stellar. In fact, it's had the look of a bunch of obnoxious little kids who think they know politics but don't know anything about anything except how to be a brat.

You just did it again. While you are correct that he is better than Trump personally I put him on par with W.

The banks failing has nothing to do with Biden

Inflation is a world wide problem and it’s been explained a billion times. Inflation is dropping.

There is no crisis at the border unless you’re lyin Ted Cruz.

What a surprise. Gearing up for WW3 is straight out of Trump’s mouth, the guy who set the stage with what’s happening now. Trump cheered when Putin invaded Ukraine, called him a genius then started making comments about how his buddy Xi was going to invade Tawain. Kim is also his buddy, which makes him the buddy of most of the GOP House. The GOP is in bed with the world’s worst despots.

Where are the bills from the GOP House on the economy issues they keep complaining about? There won’t be any. The path to power is pushing for purposeful failure. Blatantly obvious. What sort of idiot makes claims about the economy being bad then votes for these clowns?

This is a true real president who understands & cares.

Bruce Springsteen, Mindy Kaling, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Gladys Knight among 22 honored by Biden

WASHINGTON -- President Joe Biden welcomed a high-wattage collection of singers, authors, artists and humanitarians to the White House on Tuesday to present them with medals - and then stole the show himself with a quip about seeking reelection.

Bruce Springsteen, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Mindy Kaling and Gladys Knight were among the 22 people and organizations being honored. When author Colson Whitehead's award was announced, Biden noted that the author of "The Underground Railroad" and "The Nickel Boys" has already won back-to-back Pulitzer Prizes.
