Can anyone in the San Francisco area shed more light on this one?
Three school board members were just overwhelmingly ousted from their seats by the voters. The article has good info but there has to be more to this story.

Re: San Francisco School Board Recall
I did not support this recall effort because I don't trust any of these Koch/Bradley/etc. measures attacking school board members. I voted against recalling these people, even though there is one person in particular that I voted in, and they turned out to be a terrible choice who showed their true colors once they got in.
Because I did not support this recall, I did not vote for them to be recalled.
That said, these three, especially this one I'm talking about, brought this on themselves, focused on really stupid things like removing murals and renaming schools. It was bad enough before the pandemic but they collectively dropped the ball over the past couple years.
Also, I'm not sure this was an overwhelming effort. Only 1/4 of the city turned out for it.
