Liberal activist judges impede First Amendment rights and conservative activist judges restore those rights.

Conservative whites will spend a mint to suppress minorities, like you did with Jim Crow, Indian boarding schools, redlining/blockbusting, your eugenics boards, and state-forced heterosexuality.

You yourself believe there ought to be a "public accomodations amendment" to the Constitution.

So much for all that freedom of expression and freedom of association you guys crow so loudly about. :problem:

If you go through the deeper points of that article, what you will find is RWers on the Court have actually been reducing the 1st amendment rights of actual living, breathing human people who are supposed to have them, while increasing the so-called 1st admt. "rights" of fictitious "corporate persons" who actually don't (and got them only through the tortured logic of Santa Clara County vs. Pacific Railroad and Citizens United) to commercial/corporate speech (i.e. advertising, buying candidates, etc.)

Conservatives are misanthropes.

Anybody on the fence on this can look at what they do to their own families in the name of family values, what they do to the actually-living in the name of being pro life.

Quote:
The Justice Department announced a new federal policy Wednesday to help state and local police take cash and property from people suspected of a crime, even without a criminal charge, reversing an Obama administration rule prompted by past abuse by police.............

Supreme Court Agrees to Hear Significant New Case About Civil Asset Forfeiture and the Bill of Rights

"This case also gives the Supreme Court an opportunity to consider the broader injustices that occur in the name of civil asset forfeiture. As Justice Clarence Thomas observed last year, "this system—where police can seize property with limited judicial oversight and retain it for their own use—has led to egregious and well-chronicled abuses." By ruling in favor of Tyson Timbs, the justices can rein in at least some of this abuse."

Session's efforts may be short lived.
