More of that Faux News leading the way on "civility" stuff again.

Tucker Carlson Calls Iraqis “Semiliterate Primitive Monkeys” in Latest Round of Tapes
https://www.motherjones.com/media/2019/ ... -of-tapes/

Already under fire over recently unearthed remarks that have been widely condemned as misogynistic, Fox News host Tucker Carlson is facing another barrage of criticism. A new round of decade-old recordings released late Monday by the liberal group Media Matters captures Carlson describing Iraqis as “semiliterate primitive monkey.” In a separate instance, he criticizes Iraqis for having a “culture where people just don’t use toilet paper or forks.”

In another tape dating back to August 2008, Carlson claims that the Congressional Black Caucus “exists to blame the white man for everything.” He adds, “I’m happy to say that in public because it’s true.” One month later, he credited “white men” with “creating civilization.”

On Sunday, Media Matters published the first set of recordings of Carlson’s appearances on the “Bubba the Love Sponge” radio show from 2006 to 2011. In one October 2007 interview, Carlson compares women to “dogs” while calling them “extremely primitive.” In a 2009 clip, Carlson is heard defending polygamist cult leader Warren Jeffs, who is currently serving a life sentence for child sexual assault.

So, just to take two points:
1) Just as with social media, if you are part of the commentariat, stuff you say off-air (even in Stern interviews) matters. So no, just because he didn't say this stuff on his own show doesn't mean it doesn't matter.
2) it's a lot more than just naughty. I kinda think it's his fundamental worldview.

He's now saying "he won't bow down to the mob". IOW, allow me to translate: "polite people are asking me to be civil, but fuck them".

Did you ever watch him. It's like watching a show were someone else has the remote and is hitting pause momentarily here and there to mess with your mind.

It seems like his mind shuts off, goes blank for a moment, then restarts. Some people are like that.

Could move this to "Big Perv" but I'll just drop it here.

Tucker Carlson Made Sexually Explicit Jokes About Miss Teen USA Contestant In Latest Unearthed Audio
https://www.huffpost.com/entry/tucker-c ... d7661eff83

Fox News host Tucker Carlson made sexually explicit jokes about a Miss Teen USA contestant during a 2007 radio interview that resurfaced online Tuesday.

[snip]

“She’s so dumb,” Carlson said of South Carolina teenage beauty pageant participant Caitlin Upton during his appearance on the shock-jock radio program “The Bubba the Love Sponge Show.”

[snip]

“If you had a wife that dumb, would it be good or bad?” Carlson asked, then he made an unsubstantiated claim that pageant host Mario Lopez had “plowed” Upton, who was 18 at the time.

When asked if there’d “be a problem legally if Mario fucked it” because they weren’t sure of Upton’s age, Carlson replied: “No! Are you kidding? He’s like James Brown. He gets a pass. The normal laws for that kind of thing don’t apply to him.”

Upton later revealed how the fallout from the pageant left her contemplating suicide.

NowThis News shared the audio, which was unearthed by Media Matters for America:
On Monday, Media Matters released audio from 2006 in which Carlson said he’d be open to a racist president.

[snip][end]

Then it's clear why he likes Trump!

The guy is painful to watch, equally as painful when he's talking like as if he knows what he's talking about, or when he's having those blank face, blank thought, ignorant appearing moments he has.

Agree. When it comes to "Fox Hosts," there should be an award given every year for "Most Painful to Watch and Listen To."

The "Painie?"
