Disney is Laying Off 124 People at The Fox Movie Studios After Disappointments at The Box Office

Recently Disney announced that they are planning to lay off 124 employees at the 20th Century Fox Film Corp. that is now owned by Disney. According to the Los Angeles Business Journal, Disney has already laid off 264 works and could lay off as many as 3,000 at the Fox Studios.

This news comes as Disney has reportedly killed most Fox films that are still in development. The exceptions are “Avatar”, “Planet of the Apes”, and Fox Searchlight movies according to reports. This comes as Disney had a bad 3rd quarter at the box office and reported a $170 million operating loss.

Yeah, and BTW Spidey fans, it looks like his days in the MCU are over.

Sony and Disney couldn't work out a continuation of their deal, so Marvel/Disney has lost all future rights to the character. He ain't joining the Avengers.

There may be future Tom Holland films, Sony says they may do two more, but you won't see any other Marvel characters in them, not even any references to Iron Man, or any of the Avengers. They can only cross over with what Sony has the rights to, like Morbius, or Venom.
