The only reason it was sold is that it had hard assets - like the planes, airport facilities and gate spots at the airports. But Trump had defaulted on the debt and ran out of money, and yes, it basically DID go under - the banks had taken control of it and they were the ones who sold the hard assets to US Airways.

I read all these posts. What I note is that none of these address the fact that Biden had a conflict of interest. He was most certainly aware of his sons relationship with a company that was accused of corruption and HB own partner said that Burisma would not have survived without US intervention. Testimony under oath. Calls were exchanged and all the sudden the VP travels to Ukraine and behold the prosecutor is fired. Now Ukraine may have been corrupt. The prosecutor may have been corrupt. But the timeline and the conflict of interest with the man representing the US and driving the decision (by his own words) is also evident. So I am not going to assume that there wasn’t corruption in that transaction either. It’s an obvious question which deserves a thourough and independent investigation. Do I trust the DOJ to do that after the Durham report and after the congressional oversight committee hearing? No. Absolutely not. As was said during the previous administration, the administration cannot and should not be trusted to investigate itself.
