That's true. It started during Covid, and now it's worth paying the delivery charges and tipping the driver not to have to drive through evening traffic and spend 45 minutes picking up your pizza. These places now tend to be contracting with the many delivery services that have started up during the period. The only one that doesn't is California Pizza Kitchen, and the difference is amazing. It usually eats up the better part of an hour during the LA rush, and 30 minutes of that is just waiting for the other 15 pizzas ahead of yours to come out of the oven.

At least that's how it is in LA.

The cost of living in California is high and trying to live on $15 an hour here isn't realistic. Pizza Hut, not California, made the decision to eliminate their driver's jobs. With delivery companies like Uber Eats and others, Pizza Hut could easily save money i n salaries, benefits, as well as on Social Security payments, on those 1,200 delivery jobs. Pizza Hut has about locations in California and most of those are in the areas where there is a medium to high population so companies like Uber Eats could easily take over delivery for Pizza Hut.

What glenn is doing is trying to make Pizza Hut look like a victim of California's liberal policies when the real reason is by doing away with the delivery drivers Pizza Hut is actually saving money. glenn, quit shilling for companies that don't want to pay a living wage to their employees.

I wonder how many people actually work minimum wage. Most of what used to be min wage jobs actually pay more than minimum wage these days.

The challenge is finding people willing to get off the couch and show up to work. It’s there if you want it.

Sorry, but Florida has a problem with not enough people for jobs, when they made it very hard for undocumented workers. I understand the construction and other industries is now almost at a standstill. Florida business has built itself on undocumented labor, and now that those undocumented people are leaving, there's no one left to do the work.

Of course, business doesn't want legal laborers, as they'd have to follow labor law and minimum wage laws. They sure don't want that.

I celebrated Christmas with family. I have a large group of friends all over this nation. I don't travel too much these days but I'm on the phone with them quite a bit.

And I got some bad news about a friend, you know, who has cancer. I spent much of yesterday on the phone with him. You know, the friends you lie and say I don't have.
