Playoff lock bets of the year

Post by Glennfs »

I had a rough year handicapping the nil and portal made the middle teams much more equal. After 3 straight winning years this year I quit handicapping with 4 weeks to go.
Lost about 1800.
While I don't bet many NFL games I do occasionally. Last season in the playoffs I believe the picks I posted here went an astonishing 11 and 2.
Not going to repeat those numbers......but.....

For week one take Kansas City to win and easily cover the spread at home vs Miami.

Miami feasted on losing teams while getting exposed by good teams.
Miami in the Tua era have been built ti win in Miami and in warm weather.
In cold weather they aren't very good.
So we have Miami who has a losing record against good teams playing outside on the road

Kansas City wins and covers

I really wish Aaron Rodgers would just fucking go away. He's a nutjob. https://www.cnn.com/2024/01/10/business ... index.html

Otherwise I do like Pat McAfee's show, well, in small doses. I couldn't watch the hours of it that's on every day.

But when I watched the NCAA Championship game, I watched it on the ESPN channel that had McAfee and his bunch calling the game from the end zone. It was far better than the regular feed.

Also a Rich Eisen fan, again, in small doses. Can't understand people that listen to hours and hours of sports talk every day. And I can't STAND Stephen A. Smith's screaming.

You know what I predicted here for the playoffs last year.
Is there anything you won't lie about. Made predictions every week while you denied that sports handicapping was anything more than guessing. You also kept saying who is going to win the SB while I attempted to explain to you that wasn't how sports handicapping worked.
But if course and as usual no amount of truth or reason can ever change your mind on any subject

Show me where. Give the link.

You’re only great in your own mind. No one knows who will win.

But go ahead, prove me wrong. Before the game starts tomorrow night, Tell us who will win every week through the Super Bowl. And don’t wait for the wins each week to predict the next week. Tell us the whole thing. You won’t make 11 out of 13.

I don't bet on games nor do I really believe the odds or the over-and-under figures. Those are numbers used by professional gambling companies, i.e. casinos and betting sites, designed to get people to bet. Remember the first rule of gambling in a casino; the house always wins. Sure, you can win some games but in the long run they take you to the cleaners.

Waiting for Glenn to give who is going to win every game every week of the playoffs.

And Glenn, I looked back at last year this time on this forum. You had ZERO predictions that I could find.

Another thing in your mind.

No, that’s not true. Your current account started Oct 12, 2021. Over two years ago.

So, you’ve got till tomorrow afternoon. Tell us who will win every game of the playoffs.

Or, give us the winners of this weekend.

BUT if someone you said would win this weekend doesn’t. Then you automatically lose any game that involves a team you said wouldn’t win.

Go ahead. So us your football genius.

Glenn, I’m not lying. Your posts aren’t there. I LOOKED. You’re welcome to look too. If you can find it, I’ll publicly apologize.

And you switched to your current account in 2021.

But since you’re such a fucking football wizard, I’m sure you can work your magic again, right?

RIGHT?

I looked in the Sports forum, you know, where sports stuff should be. Okay, I apologize. I’ll have to look to see if your 11-2 prediction record is factual.

Nope it was only 7 and 1 if I am not mistaken. The only wrong pick I had was the Michigan game.
I might have more than 7 correct.
BTW the Georgia game was over by halftime. TCU getting to the playoff let along the championship was a fluke.
One that will never happen again with a 12 game playoff

You mentioned Dallas and Buffalo winning. Then you acted like they didn't. I didn't go look them up.

But again, if you're such a fucking genius, show us just how brilliant you are. Just like how brilliant you were that Tua and Jordan Love would both be busts.

But it WAS dumb of me to expect you to talk about sports in the sports forum. You always put them in the main forum, you don't think the rules apply to you. I should have remember that and looked in the main forum.

Since it looks like Cleveland is getting slaughtered, it’s not surprising you only called one game this weekend.

NO ONE, least of all YOU, knows who’s going to win these games.

Is there any subject you won't try to start a flame war on.

I am now 8 and 1 in my predictions here.

I have explained orcat least tried to explain sports handicapping to you several times.
However you like Trump never admit your opinion might have been wrong.

Handicapping is not about predicting every game. It us about looking at a slate of games and predicting which would be the best bets. As I have proven.

There are reasons why the Cleveland game was one to avoid. My second best pick is Dallas over GB. However I would not recommend betting on that game.

GB has a young and inexperienced team playing on the road.
Dallas home stats vs away stats are amazing. They are a different team at home.

Finally you will notice the reasons behind making KC the best bet were all spot on. But of course you will never admit it

I said I couldn't find it. I screwed up, thinking that you would put a sports thread in the sports forum. I apologize for that.

But you said you went 14-2, which is the lie. Not even 7-1, as some of your picks weren't in the NFL playoffs.

And now you're too gutless to make more than one pick. I guess you're going to retire from picks this year and say you had a perfect record.

Idiot.

I was mistaken but you claimed the 6 page conversation that went on over a period of time never existed.
While inferring I was making it up. All the time while we might have remembered the particulars we both knew the conversation happened.

Was 7 and 1 am now 8 and 1 ard you willing to admit that sports handicapping is real and not just a guess.

Tua sure looked good yesterday. Did you know he only defeated one winning team this season. If I read my stats correct.

As for Love some switch went off and he became a much better QB. It happens in sports but rarely on the professional level.

Did anyone see the Stste Farm commercial after the 2nd quarter pick 6 featuring Mahomes and KC head coach?
If so that commercial is the best example of why Belichick is currently not coaching.
However there is a very good chance Belichick will be head coach of either Dallas or Philadelphia next season

Look for the coach to be fired next week especially if Belichick agrees to come on board

I’ve seen too damned many State Farm commercials

“Mahomes and MaAuto”.

The one with Mahomes and Andy Reid - “Explain that to me again, this time with those nuggies!”

Well, no matter WHAT happens now, Green Bay’s season was a success - as they embarrassed Dallas in Dallas and knocked them out of the playoffs.

Glenn, this is why they play the game, because the players don’t listen to folks like you who thinks they know who will win before the game.
