Alvo voters oust one, keep one in village board recall

Voters in Alvo booted one village board member but kept another in Tuesday’s court-ordered recall election, ending the Cass County town's latest chapter of controversy.

The efforts to oust Robin LaPage, who lost her seat by a 27-12 vote, according to unofficial results, and Larry Langer, who kept his by a vote of 22-17, began, in part, with a sprawling scrap tire pile at the north edge of town — Langer’s B-Rose Tire Recycling.

Nikki Lucas Wins Assembly Seat In East New York’s 60th Assembly District By Overwhelming Margin

It’s official! Nikki Lucas is the new Assemblymember in East New York, and the first in 2 decades, not named Barron.

Lucas sent out a statement to announce her victory. “Our community has spoken loud and clear, and I am so humbled to now be elected Democratic representative from East New York, Starrett City, Brownsville and Canarsie. Tonight is the result of what happens when we center real change, build coalitions, and demand a just future that includes truly affordable housing, quality public schools and accessible health care for all. I thank everyone who believed in me, especially my family, clergy, NYCHA and tenant leaders, laborers and working-class New Yorkers, my political club and staff. It is my honor to continue to serve the people of this district, here and in Albany.”

GOP culture war attacks 'alarmingly potent,' DCCC warns

Democrats’ own research shows that some battleground voters think the party is “preachy,” “judgmental” and “focused on culture wars,” according to documents obtained by POLITICO.

And the party’s House campaign arm had a stark warning for Democrats: Unless they more forcefully confront the GOP’s “alarmingly potent” culture war attacks, from critical race theory to defunding the police, they risk losing significant ground to Republicans in the midterms.

San Francisco voters oust three school board members in recall vote, CNN projects

(CNN) Three San Francisco School Board members were removed from their positions by voters on Tuesday, CNN projects, following a tough recall campaign that pitted Democrats against Democrats as interlocking controversies over school closings and renamings fueled a well-funded backlash.

The recall is among the most dramatic examples yet of parents' frustration spilling into local politics. School closures and debates over masking children, along with discussions about race and gender in classrooms, have made education a central political issue.

Democrat Mike Fong jumped out to an early lead over Republican Burton Brink after the polls closed on Tuesday, Feb. 15, in the San Gabriel Valley’s 49th Assembly District special election. The race will determine who will succeed Ed Chau, D-Monterey Park, who departed his post early to become a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge.

Tuesday was the final day of voting with the polls closing at 8 p.m. — and by 10 p.m. Fong had collected 23,217 votes (68.44%) to 10,708 (31.56%) for Brink. There were 239,177 registrations in the 60 precincts in the district.

These people WAY over stepped. The Chinese Community in SF turned out in huge numbers. Now we have to beat back the recall Chesa Boudin. He is good man, the SFPD Hates him because he holding them accountable. Now with the bone headed move by the SFPD to rape kit DNA in National Database, theSFPD has proven they do not respect Victims Rights. Fuck them.

Best way to beat this institutionalized repression is the realization that these so-called culture wars, e.g. anti-PC, anti-woke, anti-abort, blue lives matter, anti-SJW, anti-trans, don’t say gay, anti-CRT, antivaxx, etc., have little to do with culture. They are just this year’s version of white supremacism defending itself.

But then you have maliciously dimwitted moderate horseshoes, who manage to decade after decade to convince themselves that these continued onslaughts are somehow about jobsandtheeconomy — they’ll do anything to facilitate these worthless confederates.

Their only principle is munny and imposing white-conservative authoritarianism.

Republican Congressional Candidate Accused of Soliciting Sex and Inappropriate Touching of Student.

https://www.rawstory.com/gop-congressio ... nt-report/

A Texas Republican candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives endorsed by The Dallas Morning News this week saw that endorsement pulled after allegations he twice solicited an escort for sex and that he inappropriately touched a student when he was a teacher.

Brad Namdar, who has been positioned as an anti-human trafficking advocate, calls himself a "triple threat: principled, practical, prepared."

"The escort said she first met Namdar in May, as he was gearing up for his congressional run. She provided The Dallas Morning News with evidence, including videos, of the alleged sexual encounters. The News is not naming her because she fears retaliation from Namdar and his supporters," The Dallas Morning News reports.

"The News also uncovered allegations through school records that Namdar inappropriately touched a student when he was a teacher and coach at a Dallas high school. Child Protective Services was notified about the alleged incident, but local law enforcement officials said they have no records of such a report."

Traitor Backed Candidate Storms Out of Georgia Event Over Speaking Order.

https://www.rawstory.com/vernon-jones/.

Trump-endorsed congressional candidate Vernon Jones (R-GA), a former Democrat, stormed out of an event over the weekend after he expressed dissatisfaction about the order in which speakers would take the stage.

Atlanta Journal-Constitution correspondent Greg Bluestein shared video of Jones arguing about the speaking order at a Jackson County Republican Party event on Saturday.

"I came here because I'm a fighter," Jones said, "but I'm not going to be subjected to parlor tricks. I was selected to be the second person. Mike Collins was supposed to go first and you all are now trying to change it."

"You are here as a guest," another person argued. "You are going to listen to what I'm going to say."

Texas County Finds 10,000 Uncounted Ballots
March 7, 2022 at 8:22 pm EST By Taegan Goddard 20 Comments

“About 10,000 mail ballots were tabulated but not counted in Texas’ most populous county on the day of last week’s election, adding to the delay in determining some winners in the nation’s first primary of the 2022 midterms,” the AP reports.

https://politicalwire.com/2022/03/07/te ... d-ballots/

Where?

Oh yeah, this county
The largest Harris County racial/ethnic groups are Hispanic (43.0%) followed by White (27.6%) and Black (18.7%).
Imagine that, of all counties THIS ONE is where the votes were not counted...all cons are terrorists and traitors

Supreme Court rejects GOP redistricting pleas in 2 states

WASHINGTON (AP) — In a victory for Democrats, the Supreme Court has turned away efforts from Republicans in North Carolina and Pennsylvania to block state court-ordered congressional districting plans.

In separate orders late Monday, the justices are allowing maps selected by each state’s Supreme Court to be in effect for the 2022 elections. Those maps are more favorable to Democrats than the ones drawn by the states’ legislatures.

Democrats sweep Special General Election for state lawmaker positions

Just as lawmakers prepare to put a wrap on this Session, voters elected Democrat Rosalind Osgood to represent a Broward County district in the Senate and Democrat Jervonte “Tae” Edmonds to represent a Palm Beach County House district in a Special General Election Tuesday.

The pair will succeed two state lawmakers who resigned from the Legislature to run for Congress last July. The timing of the election — and the two empty desks this Session — became symbolic of Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis’ effort to weaken the opposition party’s voice this Session.
