Barney Frank to Progressives: Ditch Bernie Sanders

Former Representative Barney Frank (D-MA) — who, until recently, was caught in an John Updike/John Irving vortex of confusion with other Northeastern liberal Bernie Sanders (I-VT) — told his fellow liberals to ignore the appeal of the surging Democratic candidate and stick with frontrunner Hillary Clinton.

 Barney Frank is a turncoat...or maybe he was really a corporate Democrat all along? He is now on the board of directors of New York based Signature Bank and recently said he's [url=http://www.businessinsider.com/barney-frank-of-frank-dodd-act-joins-bank-board-2015-6]“very supportive of banking.”[/url So him supporting another corporate Democrat really is all to surprising.

I agree with the above poster's comments about B Frank. I had for years admired Mr Frank's work, especially veteran's issues, and other political viewpoints, but lately, not so much. For him to put down Sen Sanders shows just how poisoned he has become. It appears that he's possibly held hands with the corporate influential, our main political enemy. It's time for Mr Franks to fully retire and keep quiet about good folks trying to make a positive difference for a change.

No doubt her campaign WILL pull right after the primaries

Bernie is where the democratic party was in 1945. Because of FDR, we have social security today. He gave us a time of prosperity and fair taxation.

What happened?

Oh yeah, see the above link. It's called corruption.

I'd be remiss not to ask this. As president, does anyone here who is doubting or simply against Sen Sanders think that he'd not do everything possible in his power to help all minority groups despite the powerful obstructionist Congress?

There will be a tremendous long drug out fight against crime that involves all races in this country with any presidents in the future. This is mostly due to an economic generated issue that also is a huge burden placed on each state and their governing bodies. I highly doubt that Sen or a president Sanders will ignore African American's needs for better safer living.

Sen Sanders voted yes for $84 million in grants for Black and Hispanic colleges.

Isn't the original purpose of why interns 'intern' one that entails primarily of educational benefit without expecting monetary compensation?

I agree, but at least he pays $12 per ... more than a lot of other people

many pay less

the heritage foundation pays $8.08

http://www.glassdoor.com/Intern-Salary/ ... E28405.htm

even the billionaire trump only pays $10

http://www.trumpemployment.com/internship/

Ted Cruz pays nothing, zip, zero, nada

It is possible to receive internship course credit pending approval by the respective college or
university, though we are unable to offer paid internships.

You don't make a career with a minimum wage job. I know skilled workers that don't make $15.00 an hour. Why should an unskilled worker make that much?

A person working to feed his family shouldn't have to settle for a minimum wage job.

I don't have a family and I make more than minimum wage.

What did I say? Working folks shouldn't have to settle for a minimum wage job.
They deserve more!
The minimum wage jobs should be for teenagers.

You have this preconceived notion that anyone who isn't 100% liberal is and it doesn't hold water.
Just so you know I am Liberal and Conservative, not just a Conservative.

Do you really think that raising the minimum wage is going to solve anything?

Only to the uninformed.

Carmenjonze was once a Conservative. She changed her thinking and so have I on a lot of issues.

I did some checking on the Senate Intern Program and the salary of the intern is set by the Senator's office.
Since Bernie advocates for $15 an hour wage then he should up the pay for his interns to $15.
