When Trump Made an Appearance at Cuomo’s Bachelor Party: The Untold Story of Their Ties

Andrew Cuomo was about to get married. Donald Trump was about to get divorced. And the future governor of New York and future president of the United States crossed paths at Cuomo’s bachelor party.

The year was 1990 and Cuomo, the son of Gov. Mario M. Cuomo, was merging with the Kennedy clan — “Cuomolot,” the union was called — just as Trump was splitting up with Ivana Trump in a typical tabloid spectacle.

A 'Safe Third Country' Agreement With Mexico Won’t Fix U.S. Migratory Challenges

https://www.lawfareblog.com/safe-third- ... challenges

Quote:
Meanwhile, the Trump administration has quietly been seeking a more drastic approach to reduce Central American migration to the United States through a “safe third country” agreement with Mexico.

Such an agreement would, as the name suggests, designate Mexico as a safe country to receive asylum seekers and would bar almost any asylum seeker who sets foot on Mexican soil from later lodging a claim in the United States. The United States already has an accord with Canada—the 2002 Safe Third Country Agreement—that entered into force in 2004 and that requires asylum seekers arriving in one of the two countries to make their claims in their first country of arrival. Any potential U.S. agreement with Mexico is likely to pull from this blueprint or other international precedents. The latter include the Dublin Regulation, which requires asylum seekers arriving in the European Union to register their claims in the first country of arrival, and the 2016 agreement that sends Syrians back to Turkey if they arrive in Greece via the Mediterranean Sea.

While the possibility of a U.S.-Mexico safe-third-country agreement hasn’t generated much public attention in either nation, the Trump administration has consistently promoted the idea to Mexican officials. The push began in April, as hundreds of migrants traveling in a caravan headed through Mexico to the United States.

Back when that caravan was traveling through Mexico I wondered why, (besides Mexico not being a safe country), why it wasn't handled that way.

Mexico not being a safe country is kind of a deal breaker when a safe country is the whole point. :|

The author does bring that up. "First, there is the question of whether Mexico could even be labeled a safe country, given its own security and human rights challenges." And then adds to that filling out a nice paragraph which closes with: In 2016 alone, 12,800 Mexicans filed applications (the second-highest number, after El Salvador). It is hard to see how the U.S. government can formally recognize a country as safe while thousands of its citizens are filing asylum claims in U.S. courts."

Yes, that would be hard. :|

The author goes on discussing this topic well. It is worth following the link to read the whole thing.

Trump mocks potential Kerry 2020 challenge.

I'm kind of upset. Trump mocked the idea of Kerry running in 2020 before I noticed the story and could mock him.

Trump's Approval Number Nose-Dives, Dems' Blue Wave Might Be Building: IBD/TIPP Poll

Just 36% say they approve of the job President Trump is doing, a 5-point drop from last month, according to the latest IBD/TIPP poll. Fifty six percent disapprove of Trump's job performance, up from 53% the month before.

The drop in Trump's approval rating comes after a spate of bad news, including the conviction of his former campaign chairman on eight counts of fraud and a guilty plea on campaign finance charges by Trump's former lawyer, which sparked a torrent of impeachment talk. Trump also caught flak for his handling of Sen. John McCain's passing.

Yesterday Trump tweeted:

The Woodward book is a scam. I don’t talk the way I am quoted. If I did I would not have been elected President. These quotes were made up. The author uses every trick in the book to demean and belittle. I wish the people could see the real facts - and our country is doing GREAT!

That's an illogic string. it's a scam,,, he's been misquoted, proof of having been misquoted is having been elected.

:|

Hillary Clinton was the one who was elected. Trump was emplaced.

Canoeing group sues over restrictions near Trump golf course

A canoeing group filed a federal lawsuit against the Trump administration Thursday, claiming President Donald Trump’s use of his golf course in Northern Virginia has led to illegal restrictions on the Potomac River.

The court filing by the Canoe Cruisers Association of Greater Washington seeks the U.S. District Court in Maryland to declare a Coast Guard rule that prevents use of the river that abuts Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia, unlawful. The “permanent security zone” is in effect when Trump is at his golf course, often on weekends and holidays when the river that separates Maryland and Virginia is the most active.

Congressional Democrats’ lawsuit alleging Trump’s private business is violating the Constitution can proceed, federal judge rules

The judge ruled that the Democrats have legal standing to sue President Trump, rejecting a challenge from the president. The lawsuit alleges that Trump, by continuing to do business with foreign governments while in office, violates the Constitution’s emoluments clause.

Although Trump has given up day-to-day management of his businesses, some properties that he still owns benefit from investments or business from foreign governments, particularly his D.C. hotel, which has hosted leaders from Kuwait, Malaysia and other countries.

Trump to press: ‘I consider you a part of the Democrat Party’

A combative President Trump initially deflected questions about Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh during a White House press conference on trade, and also accused reporters of working for the Democratic Party.

During an extended attack on Democrats for their handling of Kavanaugh, Trump accused the media of taking the party’s side.

Fox & Friends host Brian Kilmeade heckled by NYC subway riders: ‘Tell Trump to stop grabbing p*ssies!’

Fox & Friends co-host Brian Kilmeade was followed by a pair of “guerilla comedians” known as The Good Liars Friday — and got an earful from New York City subway riders fed up with his most famous viewer.

“Weren’t you accused of sexually harassing Gretchen Carlson?” comedian Jason Selvig asked Kilmeade as he followed him down a Manhattan street.

Maxine Waters nails Trump to the wall for whining about violent protesters: ‘He’s the mob president’

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) unloaded on the GOP’s claim — as led by Donald Trump — that anti-Brett Kavanaugh protesters were violent and “mob-like.”

“This country was built on peaceful protest,” Waters told MSNBC’s Chris Hayes Tuesday night. “And those of us who were part of the civil rights movement, who understood the power of protest taught by Dr. Martin LutherKingg and others know that we cannot allow Donald Trump and anybody else to take protests away from us and to deem it to be violent and to try and make us look like a mob.”

Democrats agree to confirm 15 of Trump's judicial picks to have time for campaigning

Oct. 11 (UPI) -- Democratic Senators on Thursday agreed to confirm 15 of President Donald Trump's federal judge picks so they can return to their home states to campaign.

With Republicans holding the Senate majority, the 15 judges were likely to be confirmed anyways, even if Democrats attempted to force hours of debate for each one. That led to Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York making a deal with Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky to confirm the judges and allow for a recess, in order for candidates up for re-election to hit the campaign trail, Politico reported.

Trump administration proposes tough rules on protests

The Trump administration is proposing to overhaul rules for protests in front of the White House and at other iconic locations in Washington, D.C., in an effort that opponents say is aimed at shutting down free speech.

The National Park Service’s (NPS) proposal, for which public comments are due by Monday, would close much of the sidewalk north of the White House to protests, limit the ability for groups to have spontaneous protests without permits in that area and on the National Mall and open the door to potentially charging some demonstrating groups fees and costs for their events.

Don't Use Songs In Rallies, Family Of Singer Prince Tells Donald Trump

WASHINGTON: The family of Prince has told Donald Trump to stop playing the late icon's songs at rallies, following a phalanx of other angry artists who have told the US president to pull the plug.

"The Prince Estate has never given permission to President Trump or The White House to use Prince's songs and have requested that they cease all use immediately," tweeted the musician's half-brother Omarr Baker.

Trump, Without Evidence, Accuses Puerto Rico Of Abusing Hurricane Relief Funds

Quote:
President Donald Trump has yet to run out of criticism for Puerto Rico and its government officials, 13 months after Hurricane Maria’s devastation. The president on Tuesday accused the island territory’s leaders of using federal relief funds to pay off “other obligations,” without evidence.

“The people of Puerto Rico are wonderful the but inept politicians are trying to use the massive and ridiculously high amounts of hurricane/disaster funding to pay off other obligations,” Trump said via Twitter.

“The U.S. will NOT bail out long outstanding & unpaid obligations with hurricane relief money!” he continued.

The stupid racist punk will accuse anyone of anything to appease his filthy base.

If you support rump you are a pile of human garbage.
