Highest approval right now in West Virginia.

Lowest approval right now in Vermont. Well, see, Bernie's core voters do get the difference between left and right populism.

The political geography of this country under Trumpism is ... convoluted.

Interesting thing, though, he's not over 50% in any of the "Rust Belt" states that were so key for 2016 ... like WI, MI, OH, PA.

Now this is interesting (from a poli-sci point of view). Is a geographic political realignment occurring?

Trump's base is holding: but NOT in the South.

http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/white-h ... th-n787856

The states where he's still doing well: (in terms of high positive net approval) -- Wyoming, North Dakota, and West Virginia.

He's got lower net approval in Southern states, like Georgia and Texas. (Around -9).

And, most importantly for 2020 (assuming he makes it that long :D ), his "blue wall" penetration crumbled -- Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan are all around -9 to 10 net approval. Those states might be the first to notice they have been had by a con man.

Why Twitter Won't Ban President Donald Trump

Calls to ban Trump from Twitter, largely by liberal activists, writers and Twitter users, sounded even before he became president

Twitter has made it clear that it won't ban Donald Trump from its service, whether the president follows its rules against harassment or not.

he doesnt rock back and forth, he doesnt rock side to side.
instead, his rock is like the queens hand wave. he twists, he twists his body, its like rocking
side to side only in a bit of circular motion. he stands next to veteran guy and he twists his body.

mentally ill people rock themselves.

It won't pass the House unfortunately

Reps. Nadler, Watson Coleman, and Jayapal Announce Censure Resolution Against President Trump for Blaming “Both Sides” for Violence in Charlottesville, VA and Excusing Behavior of ‘Unite the Right’ Participants

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Today, Congressman Jerrold Nadler (D-NY), senior Member of the House Judiciary Committee and former Chairman and Ranking Member of the Constitution Subcommittee, along with Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-NJ) and Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) announced a resolution of censure against President Donald Trump for his August 15, 2017 remarks re-asserting earlier comments that “both sides” were to blame for the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia and excusing the behavior of participants in the ‘Unite the Right’ rally. It won't pass, but as many of these things as possible should be on the record.

Well, looks like Trump is rapidly approaching the end of his sojourn in the Oval Office.

Wonder where he'll land next?

538 wrote the best title this week:

The Arpaio Pardon Has Plenty Of Precedents … That Got Other Presidents In Trouble

https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/th ... n-trouble/

"Presidents have virtually unlimited power to grant clemency to individuals at any point in the legal process, even before they are charged with a crime. As Article II of the Constitution spells out, the president can “grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offenses against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.” There’s no question that Trump has the legal standing to issue the pardon, according to Margaret Colgate Love, who served as pardon attorney in the Department of Justice under George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton – it all comes down to the president’s judgment."

I looked at the approval / disapproval numbers while I was there. The graphed averages have that backward regression built in so they are lagging behind a total of 1.2%.

When I looked at the actual polls the last eight polls show such similar, in most cases the exact same result, I was able to average the numbers at a glance in my head.

Approval 36% Disapproval 58%

gee, thanks guys, your regrets at this time dont mean much however, not until this gaping
lunatic gets his torso and ego removed from the WH and sent back to his very own bunker.
the only empathy i have is for the public who didnt vote for this jackass and now have to
live with those who did.

this is a different sort of election thingy...its not like dems and repubs. this is far off
the deep end and those who voted for him are responsible for being fully charmed by a cockroach.
now they gotta live with the choice they made as they, as we all, watch the groper-ites fuck this country up.

‘Everyone knew he was a nut’: Regretful Trump voters don’t think he’ll ever act like a president--

In some aspects, he’s almost turning into a politician in a different way, saying things he thinks his base wants to hear. He’s let me down.”

And Trump voter Christina Lees said she’s simply gotten tired of having to watch Trump’s antics on the news every day.

“We know he’s a nut,” she said. “Everyone knew he was a nut. But there comes a point in time when you have to become professional. He’s not professional, forget about presidential.”
