U.S. Rep. Gene Green's district defines gerrymandering, the 29th is a vote sink. It's propose is to drain away Democrats from the surrounding districts.

These are the demographics of that district:

Median income $36,490

1.5% White
11.0% Black
1.6% Asian
77.3% Hispanic
0.41% Native American
9.7% other

1.5% White :|

Because of this Green has been cruising to reelection since the 1992. Green is occupying a heavily Latino district despite not being a Latino. He has been in Congress for 24 years and his wiki page is one of the briefest pages for any Congressman in America.

His signature legislative initiative is from 2004, "he proposed the Every Vote Counts Amendment, which would have abolished the U.S. electoral college in United States presidential elections." Laudable but in 2004???

He also addressed "domestic and global electronic waste e-waste concerns." His concerns were that if e-waste goes in a dump a spy's might find it in the dump, thus creating a national security risk.

They had such a trying time writeing his wiki page that they listed he "also served on the Energy and Commerce Committee's Subcommittee on Health during drafting of the Affordable Care Act of 2010 and helped write and amend the legislation." It's not normal for that kind of thing to be listed unless the congressman has done so little if they didn't list it the Legislative issues section about the turgid slug would be empty.

The congressman is not overweight, nor does he seem pompous or bombastic, in saying he's a turgid slug I'm referring to his inner likeness being that of a purple dye obtained from some mollusks, used to dye fabrics.
