Texas Election Audit Finds No Substantial Voter Fraud

Post by Number6 »

Texas release the first part of it's election audit on New Year's Eve (when people aren't paying attention) and finds there was no substantial voter fraud. They did find 509 possible duplicate votes with 67 cast from people who were dead.
Texas Republicans have failed to find any substantial evidence of outcome-altering fraud in the 2020 presidential election after leading a months-long recount at Donald Trump's behest.

The findings, reported by the secretary of state's office on New Year's Eve, are part of the first phase of the audit, which targets the four largest counties in the Lone Star State: Collin, Dallas, Harris, and Tarrant. According to The Texas Tribune, the initial findings bore "few discrepancies between electronic and hand counts of ballots in a sample of voting precincts."

Specifically, the audit unearthed only 509 possible duplicate votes – less than 0.005% of the approximate 11.3 million ballots cast in the state. Further, only 67 votes were cast under the names of voters who were deceased.

The secretary of state report found that several voting discrepancies could be explained by procedural errors. For instance, in Collin County, some voters were given the option to cast a curbside ballot, allowing them to vote from their cars. County officials said that this option did not produce a paper trail, leading to slight difference between the manual vote count and electronic one.
Raw Story
Of course, IMO, Texas republicans will use this to increase their voter restriction laws causing the loss of voting rights to tens of thousands of legal voters under the justification it's to eliminate the 0.005% of those votes they think were fraudulent.

The Traitor wanted this "Audit", and just Arizona and Georgia no fraud. That dog won't hunt.
Love of Country is not Blind Patriotism. It is not devotion to one person or one party. It is knowing fighting for your country is single most important thing you can do. Do not accept the notion violence is the answer.

Texas GOP are as anti democracy as the rest. They KNOW their state is turning blue and soon, so they will corruptly prevent voting and gerrymander like creating a puzzle for a puzzle book.

If only the MSM would talk about them and approach them as the fascists they are and stop pretending any of them give a shit about this country or our democratic republic.
I sigh in your general direction.
