Sen. Mendendez Indicted

Sounds like the case against him is strong. He needs to resign, and I'll call for that resignation. If he won't, he should be stripped of all Committee assignments.

We shouldn't support crooks in the Democratic Party. After all, we aren't Republicans.

Never did defend Menendez. Please, show me where. I've never said he was innocent, and I've said over and over he's under investigation, and we'll see. Now that they've came out with it, the case seems pretty strong - get him out of there.

Of course, you defend all the corruption in your party.

Especially that of America's Deadbeat, Rudy Giuliani.

gounion, myself, and others have, for years, said if Menendez is guilty then he should accept the consequences.

I wasn't defending him, just pointing out facts. He was indicted, then had a hung jury, and the Justice Department decided to let it go and not try him again.

I guess you're only innocent until proven guilty if you're a Republican, right Glenn?

I looked at the evidence here, the case is very strong, and he should resign immediately. If he doesn't, he should be removed from all committees.

Something you'll NEVER say about Republicans.

Like when YOUR Congressman demanded the President piss on the Constitution and declare Martial Law.

Something you’ll NEVER see from a Republican: https://www.cnbc.com/2023/09/22/new-jer ... m=menendez
New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy, the state’s General Assembly speaker and the Democratic State Committee chairman all called on U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez to resign Friday after their fellow Democrat was indicted on federal bribery charges.

There was just as much evidence of he being corrupt from the previous charges.

Not only did your party make him the chairman of a powerful committee. They had their lapdog on the NJSC ignore the law in order to prevent a republican from winning that seat.

Again climb down off the cross

No, not really.

And at no time did I say he was innocent, nor did I call out the investigations, like you guys did on Trump.

Every time a Republican gets investigated, it’s “weaponizing the DoJ” and “defund the DoJ and FBI”.

You guys go after the investigators, the prosecutors and the judges. How many time have you went after Fain Willis?

What you’re doing, Glenn, is projecting. We don’t defend crooks, Glenn. That’s what YOU do.

Never denied his guilt. Told the FACTS. He had a hung jury, and the DoJ decided not to go to trial again.

If that were a Republican, you'd say that exonerated them. I did not. NEVER denied his guilt. Just another GlennLie.

And no deflection. You attack investigators, prosecutors and judges. Are you PROUD to defend you Dear Leader like that?

The difference between the Dems and the GOP: https://www.huffpost.com/entry/robert-m ... c28913bfe6
A growing number of Democrats said Friday that Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) needs to resign in the aftermath of being indicted on federal corruption charges.

Hours after the news broke, Rep. Dean Phillips of Minnesota was the first Democratic lawmaker to call on the New Jersey senator to go.

“I’m appalled,” he said in a CNN interview. “And yes, I think he should resign.”

Asked if he thinks Senate Democratic leaders should push Menendez to leave office, Phillips replied, “Yes. The answer is absolutely.”

It wasn’t long after that that the dam started to break.

“As both a leader in the Democratic Party & the former Attorney General and given the nature of the charges, I call upon Senator Menendez to resign,” former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder tweeted. “The nation will be better served if he steps aside and allows a transition to occur that will best serve the people of New Jersey.”

“I don’t have confidence that the Senator has the ability to properly focus on our state and its people while addressing such a significant legal matter,” Rep. Andy Kim (D-N.J.) told The New Jersey Globe. “He should step down.”

Rep. Mikie Sherrill, also a New Jersey Democrat, tweeted that it is “a sad day” for her state and that “it’s in the best interest of our state that Senator Menendez resign.”

Then, the doozy: New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy, New Jersey Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin and New Jersey Democratic Chair LeRoy Jones ― all Democrats ― issued statements calling on Menendez to resign.

“The alleged facts are so serious that they compromise the ability of Senator Menendez to effectively represent the people of our state,” Murphy said in a statement. “Therefore, I am calling for his immediate resignation.”
Did any national GOP rep call for Texas AG Ken Paxton to resign? Oh, hell no!

Glenn, you guys are PROUD of corrupt Republicans.

So why did they appoint him to the chairmanship of important committees after his last round of charges.

Because the charges were dropped after the first trial. Pretty simple.

Oh? Then why wasn’t he convicted? Why didn’t the DoJ try him again?

You just think he was obviously guilty because he’s a Dem.

If you didn't believe that Menendez was corrupt and guilty before these latest charges it would be because you are 100pct partisan.

Not defending him. But he was not convicted the first time. That’s just the truth.

But to you Republicans are always innocent and Democrats are always guilty.

Rep. Andy Kim to challenge Sen. Menendez in 2024 after bribery charges

Rep. Andy Kim (D-N.J.) on Saturday announced plans to run against embattled Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) in 2024.

Why it matters: Menendez is facing deep political peril and mounting calls to resign from fellow Democrats in Congress and his home state after he was indicted on federal bribery charges on Friday.

How many Republicans have called to have George Santos resign?

About the same number that have called for Menendez to resign. Looks like they are good with corruption.

Bullshit.

Why don’t you prove it?

And why won’t anyone on the right demand George Santos resign?
