Just made a good sized pot of ham and beans (no, not out of a can). I'll have eats for a couple days. It was a tossup between the ham/beans and chicken veggie soup. Ham and beans won.

Too hot for cooking so I'm just having a cold, turkey breast (deli-style) sandwich on wheat bread, a dill pickle spear, some crackers, and a glass of milk.

I keep my meals simple mainly because I don't want to spend much time cooking. For meats, I'll grill a small steak on the stove, cook salmon or chicken breasts in the microwave as well as vegetables. Often, I'll pre-cut lettuce, tomatoes, green peppers, and cucumbers for a salad.

If I ate that I'd be sleeping outside.

Beans? I never get gas from them.

Rain, my limit on tortillas is severely limited.

Well tonight I made the family Sweet and Sour Chicken with white rice. The kids loved it, and the wife loves when I cook, which has become a common event in our home.

I am learning to cook again, GF is trying to curb me of my "frat boy/bachelor" life last 5 years. Not for sure I totally have accepted change yet. I am doing Chili tomorrow on vintage stove. Still trying to figure it out a little. I stopped by one of my favorite places after work, steak and big loaded baked potato. Came with veggies, they stayed on plate. :)
