If the country prosecutor charges Trump and gets a conviction what do you think the penalty will be? State prison, county jail?

There are lot of of cases against Trump right now. Trump attempted a serious crime. He belongs in prison. He attempted a coup. You don't care though. You've been running interference for him and lying with him since J6.

No I am saying it is a waste of time for a county prosecutor to indict a former president.
Now how about you answer my question.
If the county prosecutor charges and convicts Trump what do you think the penalty will be.
Not what you want it to be. What do you think it will be.

The GA Grand Jury isn't just about Trump. It's about his co conspirators. The recommendations in that sheet I posted stated that they recommend indictments for perjury. The strong guess would be against people like Rudy, Graham, Flynn, etc. They obviously lied under oath.

The second page states that they found the election was accurate, and not what Trump and friends claim. Which points to larger charges looming.

These people tried to overthrow the election. And you're in here defending Trump.

First, I think no one is above the law. Donald Trump thinks HE’S above the law, and obviously you agree with him.

I don’t live in Georgia. But Trump tried to overturn an election in Georgia. Election tampering. What YOU are saying is that, even if Trump IS guilty - which you are saying he is not - he is above the law and nothing should happen to him.

I admit, not being from Georgia, what the penalties are. I’m sure we’ll find out if and when he’s indicted.

I say he should be given the highest possible sentence under the law.

Look, we have ex-governors in prison. We have ex-Congressmen and ex-Senators in prison.

I don’t believe ANYONE is above the law, even Donald Trump. Apparently that’s where our disagreement stems from.

I don’t really care about your question. It’s doesn’t change that this happening and crying about it to defend Trump doesn’t change anything. If a Dem did this, I’d want them charged, and whatever the penalty fits under the law. The fact is, these guys committed serious crimes and it’s not something you ignore. Which is what you think should happen.

It is not up to a county prosecutor to investigate. All the local yokal is doing is trying to become a bigger fish in a bigger pond.
As for you not caring about the question it is because it proved you to be 100pct wrong. It is ridiculous for a county prosecutor to be pursuing this. It is also a waste of time and money. If convicted absolutely nothing will happen to Trump or any other former president or high ranking government officials convicted by a county prosecutor.

I suppose you think Trump is going to be sentenced to the local county jail or state prison.
All that is going on in Georgia is a county prosecutor improving their status among progressives while pissing away tax payer money.
So you believe Trump is above the law.

If he’s convicted and sentenced, he WILL serve that sentence. What he did was a serious crime. Too bad you don’t understand election tampering is serious.

Why aren't you answering the question.
Nowhere did I say Trump was above the law.
Why aren't you answering the question

What will the penalty be? County jail? State prison?

I understand this isn't something for a county prosecutor

That's EXACTLY what you are saying. That he shouldn't be prosecuted for election tampering in the state where he tried to tamper.

First, you pretend that Willis is a small-town prosecutor. She isn't. Her county has the highest population in Georgia, and encompasses 90% of Atlanta, as well as the state Capital. It happened in her county. You say she should just pretend it didn't happen.

And let's be clear: This has went all the way up to the Supreme Court, and the Justices said that the Grand Jury investigation was legit, and Lindsey Graham and others HAD to testify.

As to what should happen, that's up to the courts to determine. I don't know a damned thing about Georgia statues.

But you obviously don't want to see Donald Trump even be investigated.

To answer the OP question:

I would vote for Reagan before voting for Trump. He’s dead and was an idiot. I would vote for any Democrat with a pulse before voting for Trump.

I would even vote for W before Trump and W was a disaster.

No one should ever vote for any candidate for anything that ever supported Trump. Here's the field for 2024:

Image

Most of these candidates were Trump supporters at one time or another, and to me, anyone who had been a Trump supporter is thereby not qualified to be President of the United States.

I mean, even Liz Cheney was a a fervent Trump supporter right up until Jan 6th. The only candidate that deserves a vote among the 13 GOP candidates is Gov. Larry Hogan, who was a decent moderate GOP governor of Maryland, and who stood up to Trump. Too bad he doesn't, like most moderates before him, understand that the GOP is broken and becomes a Democrat. He'd be far more at home here.

He is the ONLY "normal" candidate on the list.

You lack common sense I am beginning to believe that the lack thereof runs rampant in the progressive community.

We have a county prosecutor about to bring charges against a former president over campaign irregularities.

That is not a good thing. It is only a matter of time before it becomes rampant. Just remember when so podunk politician does the same to a democrat you support it

Tough. No one is above the law.

Why don't you call Fanni Willis and complain instead of crying on this board about how unfairly your boy Trump is being treated for committing crimes.

Lol "campaign irregularities."

Um, only GLENN would call election tampering “campaign irregularities”.

Just more proof you support and defend Trump.

Let’s be clear: the Supreme Court - stuffed with YOUR favorite judges - believes it’s a just thing.

And when they bring it to a Democrat, you’ll say it’s all well and good.

I say if he didn’t want to do the time, he shouldn’t have done the crime. But you want to give him a free pass.

Again a total lack of common sense. All this is, is a county prosecutor trying to become famous.
Not defending Trump in the least. There are prosecutors far more important and qualified than a county prosecutor looking into Trump.
I can't wait to hear you bleat when some small fry goes after a democrat.
