Got myself a SodaStream the other day after hearing about it a number of times on Mama's show. I got it out of the box and made my first bottle of soda this evening. (Note: make sure the bottle is screwed on all the way unless you want water all over). I used the diet cola pack that came with the carbonater, it was pretty good. I'll have to see how to create sparkling water.

I've been wanting it for seltzer.

Seems like the only seltzer around here is artificially sweetened. I don't want ANY sweetners.

I bought one and it worked quite well...then I was asked to cut back on my soda intake. Oh, well.

They make one called the penguin. Comes with two glass carafes that have very nice reusable locking caps. I use it all the time just for the carbonated water. Pour a glass with a slice of fresh fruit. Very refreshing. And I'm guessing reasonably healthy.

Just had to change out the bottle for the first time today, lasted not quite two months.
