Trump is a Putin asset. Trump is still pushing Kremlin propaganda. That's a fact. Trump is the leader of your party. That's a fact. Your party has been filtering Russian dollars into their campaigns for years. This is a fact. Through the NRA and their PACS.

Mitch McConnell has been cutting deals with Russian Oligarchs for years. See Oleg Deripaska. Lindsey Graham only very recently decided to false pivot away from Trump. For the last 4 years he's been pushing Kremlin talking points and kissing Trump's ass. Back in 2016, Kevin McCarthy is on tape, stating he knows at least two people that were being paid off by Putin, and they are Dana Rorshbacher and Donald Trump. Paul Ryan told him to keep his mouth shut because they were all one big family. No one went to the FBI. Kevin McCarthy is one of Trump's main players. Trump is the leader of your party and makes no secret about his praise for Putin, and your party walks lock and step with Trump, including almost the entire GOP House. Fox News is constantly cheering for Putin over America.

That said, I politely say (not really) fuck you. You're a game playing gas lighter. I and others have posted countless links and articles to all of this stuff, including video, for YEARS. So, take your purposeful ignorance/plausible deniability and stuff it. You're not going to get away with playing juvenile games and deny reality to the people on this message board.
That con would ask for a link about whether trump is a putin stooge or not tells you con is incapable of honesty. Sad. McConnell and others are of course also, but we didnt really know much about it until trump put the spotlight on them. Con cares only about owning libs and not paying taxes.
I sigh in your general direction.

'Shameful': Manchin Votes With Senate GOP to Filibuster Abortion Rights Bill

Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin on Monday joined Senate Republicans in blocking legislation that would codify abortion rights into federal law, a vote that came as the conservative-dominated U.S. Supreme Court prepared to rule on a case that could strike a fatal blow to Roe v. Wade.

The final vote on whether to advance the House-passed Women's Health Protection Act (WHPA) was 46-48, well short of the three-fifths supermajority needed to break the Republican-led filibuster. Every Senate Republican present voted no while every Democrat, with the exception of Manchin (D-W.Va.), voted yes.

In the 1950's The Army/McCarthy Hearings, I remember my Mother and Father talking about them.

I can remember my Dad talking about "Commies" and how if someone did not believe McCarthey/Cohen they were "Communist".

I read about McCarthy and his attacks on the U.S. State Department and how "Communists" had taken hold and deeply the U.S. Government had been "Infiltrated".

I remember being issued Dog Tags by State of Arkansas during the Cuban Missile Crisis, lots of missile silos in Arkansas.

I remember Barry Goldwater saying "Extremism in defense of liberty is no vice."

I laughed my ass off at the Ronnie God Calling Russia, "The Evil Empire."

I remember Ray-Gun saying, "Mr. Gorbachev Tear Down This Walll".

Now, the very same Republican Party rolls over and begs Putin, a Communist and former Colonel in the K.G.B. to rub their tummy and pat their fucking head.

Fuck the Republican Party and of Putin Loving Assholes of that Party.

I AM AN AMERICAN. I LOVE MYCOUNTRY.

REPUBLICANS LOVE THEIR PARTY. And Mother Fucking Putin.
Love of Country is not Blind Patriotism. It is not devotion to one person or one party. It is knowing fighting for your country is single most important thing you can do. Do not accept the notion violence is the answer.

Gov. Ron DeSantis appointed Esther Byrd to the state’s Board of Education, a move that will almost certainly serve to further politicize that appointed panel.

In October, Mrs. Byrd offered an unsolicited defense of the Proud Boys, a group of youngish men who bill themselves as “western chauvinists.”

Those statements came months after Byrd made comments supportive of QAnon after the couple was photographed on a boat flying a QAnon flag.

Add to this the red states now have total control over whether ot not an election is certified, and that trump will order them (they dont even need him to anymore) NOT to certify ANY election they lose, FUCKERS are going to FORCE a very PHYSICAL situation. Because sure as trump is the dumbest human alive and biggest coward, judges and courts wont matter if that many people are willing to say goodbye to law and order.

I wonder if the DNC is preparing for the GOP to do this treason about not certifying, surely they must know this will happen.

Justice Clarence Thomas slams cancel culture, 'packing' Supreme Court

SALT LAKE CITY — U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas said he's concerned efforts to politicize the court or add additional justices may erode the institution's credibility, speaking Friday in Utah at an event hosted by former Republican U.S. Sen. Orrin Hatch’s foundation.

Thomas, the most senior justice on the nine-member court, said he often worries about the long-term repercussions of trends such as “cancel culture” and a lack of civil debate.

At least 18,000 Texas mail-in votes were rejected in the first election under new GOP voting rules

Thousands of Texans who attempted to vote by mail in the March primary were disenfranchised in the state's first election conducted under a new Republican voting law. The state’s largest counties saw a significant spike in the rates of rejected mail-in ballots, most because they did not meet the new, stricter ID requirements.

Local ballot review boards met this week to finalize mail-in ballot rejections, throwing out 18,742 mail-in ballots in just 16 of the state’s 20 counties with the most registered voters. That includes Harris County, the state's largest county, where 6,919 ballots were scrapped — all but 31 of them because of the new ID requirements. The final statewide count for rejected ballots is still unknown; counties are still reporting numbers to the Texas secretary of state’s office.

Election ‘Vigilante‘ Group Posing as County Workers, Says New Mexico’s State Auditor
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/elect ... li=BBnb7Kz

Leaders of a far-right Telegram group pledged that its members would not misrepresent themselves as county employees when they went knocking on doors in Otero County, New Mexico for a “canvas” of local voter rolls. But just weeks later, state officials say members of the group are misrepresenting themselves—and possibly opening the county up to lawsuits.

Otero County is a solidly Republican district, with more than 60 percent of residents voting for Donald Trump in 2020. There is no evidence of widespread voter fraud there, or anywhere else in the U.S. Nevertheless, Otero commissioners have spent nearly $50,000 on an “audit” of their county’s 2020 election by EchoMail, a conspiracy-peddling company that assisted with a chaotic audit in Maricopa County, Arizona. EchoMail, in turn, contracted the “New Mexico Audit Force” or NMAF, a Telegram group that routinely promotes election conspiracy theories, to knock on Otero County doors and ask residents about their votes.

Now state officials say the NMAF is falsely representing its members as county employees during its “canvas” of local households, raising potential civil rights concerns.

Otero County approved its contract with EchoMail in January. The history of the company, founded by conspiracy promoter Shiva Ayyadurai, set off alarm bells among election-watchers, and prompted an investigation by Brian Colón, New Mexico’s state auditor.

[snip][end]

You should never have to tell anyone, even if they ARE a county official, how you voted in the last election. This is voter intimidation and suppression.

However, these people are misrepresenting themselves, and that's illegal.

Raskin withdraws as Biden’s Fed nominee
Sarah Bloom Raskin had been stuck in the Senate Banking Committee amid a GOP boycott of a committee vote on her nomination.
https://www.politico.com/news/2022/03/1 ... e-00017476

[snip]

Biden, in a statement Tuesday, said Raskin “was subject to baseless attacks from industry and conservative interest groups” and noted the broad support for her nomination from former central bank officials, consumer advocates, economists and the financial industry.

[snip]

Raskin, a former Fed governor and deputy Treasury secretary during the Obama administration, had been confirmed twice before for those posts with no opposition from Republicans. But she faced blowback this time from GOP lawmakers and Manchin over her calls for regulators to more closely scrutinize bank lending to fossil fuel companies and help mitigate climate-related risks to the financial system.

[snip]

Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio), the chair of the Senate Banking Committee, in a statement Tuesday said “too many of my colleagues” ignored the wide, bipartisan support Raskin enjoyed, and instead “fell for talking points written by the oil and gas industry.”

“Republicans engaged in a disingenuous smear campaign, distorting Ms. Raskin’s views beyond recognition and made unsubstantiated attacks on her character,” he said.

Amid mounting sanctions, Russian lawmaker demands America return Alaska to Russia

WASHINGTON (TND) — A lawmaker in Russia has demanded the United States return Alaska to Russia as a reparation for American-led sanctions crippling his country's economy following the invasion of Ukraine.

Parliament member Oleg Matveychev made those demands, along with saying he also wanted America to return Fort Ross in California, during an interview on Sunday, The Daily Beast reports. The publication says Matveychev is known as the "Kremlin's spin-doctor."

Sorry Oleg, but the U.S purchased Alaska in 1867 for $7.2 million and to demand it back after 155 years is just a little too late.

South Dakota House committee recommends no AG impeachment

PIERRE, S.D. (AP) — A South Dakota House committee recommended on Monday that the state’s attorney general face no impeachment charges for his actions surrounding a 2020 fatal car crash.

Gov. Kristi Noem had pushed for Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg, a fellow Republican, to be removed from office. But a Republican-controlled House committee voted on party lines to issue a report that found his actions did not merit impeachment. Individual House lawmakers may still bring impeachment charges against Ravnsborg, but the committee’s decision was a major setback for those trying to remove him from office.

'A New Low': CBS News Slammed for Hiring Mick Mulvaney as Contributor

CBS News faced a firestorm of criticism Tuesday for making Mick Mulvaney a contributor, with one opponent calling the network's decision to hire the ex-aide of former President Donald Trump "a new low."

Introducing Mulvaney to discuss President Joe Biden's proposal to tax rich Americans, anchor Anne-Marie Green said: "He's a former Office of Management and Budget director and today I am pleased to welcome him as a CBS News contributor. So happy to have you here. Thank you so much. You're the guy to ask about this."

A CBS News exec said the network is hiring more Republicans because 'we know' they'll take over after the midterms: report

A CBS News executive told staff earlier this month that the network was hiring more Republicans as analysts because he believed there would "likely" be a Democratic wipeout in the 2022 midterm elections, The Washington Post reported on Wednesday, citing a leaked recording it obtained.

Neeraj Khemlani, a CBS News copresident, made the remark just before the announcement that the network had hired Mick Mulvaney, who briefly served as President Donald Trump's chief of staff, as an analyst. The decision sparked internal backlash, The Post reported.

Boebert, GOP lawmakers introduce resolution honoring second-place swimmer in Lia Thomas race
https://thehill.com/homenews/house/6003 ... ond-place/

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) has introduced a bill co-sponsored by 20 of her GOP colleagues that honors Emma Weyant, who finished in second place to Lia Thomas in an NCAA swimming championship last week.

[snip]

“By allowing men to compete in women’s sports, the NCAA is destroying opportunities for women, making a mockery of its championships, and perpetuating a fraud,” Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis wrote on Twitter. “In Florida, we reject these lies and recognize Sarasota’s Emma Weyant as the best women’s swimmer in the 500y freestyle.”

[snip][end]

MHO:

Doesn't Congress have more important stuff to be working on than this "culture war" nonsense?
So fine, they can pass a resolution "honoring" who came in last place - it's meaningless. I object to stripping the winner of the medal though, regardless of what's on their birth certificate.

Meanwhile, her "ally" MTG says Pete B. shouldn't "ride his electric cycle into her daughters' bathroom" after he criticized FL's "Don't Say Gay" bill. Uh, MTG, start making sense any time you feel like. Is he trying to get into her bathroom, and why exactly would he bring an electric vehicle in there? What I find really annoying is a lot of the bills' proponents are reviving something you frequently see in Russian antigay legislation - the claim that gay people are trying to "groom" or "recruit" in schools. :| It's pretty much another variety of QCrap.

Ron DeSantis signals support for stripping Disney of special self-governing status as feud escalates
https://www.cnn.com/2022/03/31/media/ro ... index.html

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Thursday signaled support for stripping Disney of its 55-year-old special status that allows the entertainment company to operate as an independent government around its Orlando-area theme park.

It’s the latest fallout in the feud between DeSantis, a Republican widely seen as a potential 2024 presidential contender, and Disney (DIS), Florida’s largest private employer, over a measure that bans schools from teaching young children about sexual orientation or gender identity.

After DeSantis signed the bill into law earlier Monday, the Walt Disney Company wrote in a statement that its “goal” was to get the law repealed or defeated in the courts.

[snip]

DeSantis’ remarks follow a revelation that some Republican state lawmakers are considering repealing a 1967 state law that established the Reedy Creek Improvement District, giving Disney the power to establish its own government in central Florida.

“Yesterday was the 2nd meeting in a week [with] fellow legislators to discuss a repeal of the 1967 Reedy Creek Improvement Act, which allows Disney to act as its own government,” state Rep. Spencer Roach, a Republican, wrote Wednesday on Twitter. “If Disney wants to embrace woke ideology, it seems fitting that they should be regulated by Orange County.”

[snip][end]

On the one hand, it's a little bit weird, I agree ... in case you don't know this, Disney was given a really weird status by Orange County (FL) and Orlando ... they essentially operate their own fire, police force, etc. ... and are quasi autonomous.

And, I'm a critic of DisneyCorp on many dimensions, including the way it's Disneyified the world and our culture, and Walt Disney himself was an anti-Semitic FBI informer BTW, and holy crap could we talk about the cosmic ripoff that is Galactic Starcruiser; but ...

In this battle, I'm with the Mouse, and deStupid may have once found a megacorp with the bucks not to back down.

FL Rethuglicans have long called for all kinds of stupid anti-Disney measures, largely because they are a LGBT-friendly company.

Disney needs to dump this guy yesterday.

Besides, the Fundagelicals have been whining about Disney since at least the 80s when Disneyland first had Gay Night or whatever they called it. They're just mad because the princesses are no longer woken up with kisses from Prince Charming and they have to get bootleg copies of Song of the South from overseas instead of made-in-USA official copies.

It's definitely in that territory where it's hard to tell the parody of GG from the self parody GG has become.

I still remember some of the fundagelical "theories" back in the 90s that there were all these hidden obscene things hidden in Disney animated films, if you just slowed them down and went frame by frame. Well, much like listening to messages from the Devil if you play Beatles records backwards, none of this can ever really be found. It was the original Qcrap.
