NCAA women's tournament bracket revealed: South Carolina nabs No. 1 overall seed
The NCAA selection committee confirmed Sunday what many observers expected for months: South Carolina will be the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA women's tournament. South Carolina, along with Stanford and N.C. State make up three of the four No. 1 seeds in the tournament, as expected.
The final No. 1 seed, however, was up for debate. The committee opted to go with Louisville for that spot.

NCAA women's basketball is one of the purest forms of basketball we have today. Players actually stay in school for four years regularly and this creates teams with continuity. The level of play is excellent too.
It used to be Tennessee vs the field and that evolved into Tennessee and UConn vs the field. Now, there are several strong programs in contention for a title on any given year.
NCAAW basketball is growing stronger every year and that is a great thing for the game of basketball.

Double overtime. UConn vs NC State. Going in right now.

One of the best ever. Deep three to send it to double overtime. And it looks like Paige has finally gotten past her knee injury and is back to last years form.
Another favorite ncaa sport of mine is woman’s volleyball. Incredible skil and athleticism.

South Carolina convincingly defeats Uconn for the championship. An excellent game plan executed nearly to perfection.
My alma mater won the WNIT championship yesterday. SDSU (not the one in San Diego) defeated Seton Hall by 32 in a runaway victory. Wish I could have been there but watching one of our kids play volleyball took precedence.
The growth of women's basketball in recent years has been fantastic for the sport. Looking forward to more great things in the future.
